Due to the numerous "i want to start programming, which language should i start with" threads on this board i decided to create a thread that will address this issue. I am not a wonderful writer and i won't say i know it all but i will try. I urge every one on this board to correct me where i err an also contribute in whatever way you can to make this thread worth it. I will try as much as possible not to be biased in this write up.

I am not going to go into detail in defining what programming is because i will assume before entering this thread you should already know what programming is. But in summary programming is the act of creating whatever you want with your brain and computer programming is the act of creating whatever you want with your brain and a computer. and,

If you don’t manage to get an internship (fingers crossed you will), you can still learn off the many learning resources available online

I have been doing that sometimes ago, got discouraged and distracted with time (though I have gone through the basic of Java and python done some webscraping, and some small project with them). I need a better system thou, but before I scatter Nigeria to buy one, I need a promising place to accelerate my learning

You can give ABU Zaria a trial. ABU do offer special admission to HND holders that wish to have degree in Engineering but you will start from 300lwvel. if you are OK with this, it make help.

My dad makes a lot of transactions daily and keeps his records in a little blue book at the end of the day before he goes to sleep. The problem is sometimes he forgets some transactions and that results into massive loss please I need suggestions for very simple mobile app to install in his phone so that he can easily record transactions on his phone immediately they occur .
