Good evening mamas. I'm new here. I just migrated from the pregnancy care and I need help. I underwent a CS about five weeks ago and I'm seriously craving for malt. Can i start taking soft drinks or is it too early? |

SimpleLuxuries:This page does not discourage pap as much as it discourages mums who want to use pap to replace breastfeeding for infants. If breastmilk is not working, the next option should be formula, if you can't afford that then maybe pap, but try to switch up the pap a bit so that baby gets additional nutrients. That's the typical advice in this thread and it is correct. I don't understand the point of you people's argument, are you just bored and wanting to start up drama. Yeah women in the olden days fed their kids pap breakfast, lunch and dinner but have you compared mortality rates, or compared the kind of diseases that kids suffered back then to what's obtainable now? Copy oyibo ke, I've never seen anyone on this thread recommend store bought cereals over home made food. And the few times some mamas had mistakenly mixed too much stuff in their purees, they were advised to take it one or two at a time. August Secret is a Nigerian made cereal and it was one of the most recommended cereals on this thread before the price went haywire. If you want to correct a particular contribution made by a particular mum, then by all means do, but don't start to make it seem like this foolishness you're talking about is what this thread is all about. 13 Likes |

Giddyperson: I don't know what your flow is like but would propose you wait till your bleeding stops. Malt has sugar so unless you don't mind having a heavy flow after consuming it, please look for natural juice instead. |

shosky1794: Looks like impetigo. Read up on it and some Steps you can immediately take is to increase hygiene levels generally. Wash and change bed sheets immediately. Add disinfectant to his bath water. Ensure everyone carrying him Washes hands more. Clean the house/floors/ surfaces with bleach and the likes Use some Disinfectant while washing his clothes. Maybe some powder to relieve the itching. |

shosky1794: It looks like 'molluscum' (I might be wrong tho) but when my daughter had it even antibiotics did not dry it off o.... We used bitterleaf and drygin to rub her body (no clothes on and anywhere she slept or sat was always protected).... Cos we discovered its contagious, through the fluid that comes out from the rash. Her dad contacted it too shortly after hers. (Same remedy was used for him too and fresh palmwine). The Only drug we all used at that point was "extraimmune" (there's tablet and syrup). Above all, Talk to your doctor. 1 Like |

MrsDot: Thank you so much. He's already been to the hospital but that has not helped a lot. None has contracted it in the family though, even his sister that I thought would have contracted it. We will try the bitter leaf and dry gin. |
