maclawrence02: Lol... I played CODM and PES20 together with PUBG for hours and I ran down my battery (on RN8..PS: I was testing the battery when I did that..) All games were at highest graphics possible with data on (of course.) Heavy usage drains battery a lot so I agree with you that it's possible to charge twice a day. For me, I charge in the night/evening most of the time and if I don't use my phone to play those games cos I don't have that time at work, let's say, regular surfing and reading and movies and all, it last me for the whole day. I don't know why KngGezy is just trying to pick on what's not. Even if you've 5000mAh, it's still.possible to charge twice under 24 hours if you task your phone really well. 10 Likes |

KngGezy:sorry for correction you, I'm a heavy user. I started using redmi note 8 on Sunday morning 5.20am. I Do many things on it, just to check the stronger capacity battery. I was satisfied with my usage. And after I charged 2 twice, the battery normalised, cos I upgraded to ui 11, and the battery drain faster then 1 Like |

Hollusilva28: GM bro I knew that's what I was trying to being out. The fact that charging a big battery twice in a day is unusual. If I had come out plain there will have insinuated that I have come again |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Nobody: 10:31am On Dec 02, 2019 |
maclawrence02: Once again you have indulged in using demeaning statements. You charged from 0 to 100. Which should last at least 48hrs for a 4k mah battery under low usage. And under heavy usage you should get at least 12 hours. You are now saying by 3 or 4pm is that normal. The complainants didn't move nor bathe nor eat. Its 9hours a battery of 4k will last you for? Bro don't justify abnormalities abeg. No one is dumb |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by DaRkSkOpE: 10:46am On Dec 02, 2019 |
KngGezy: Charging a big battery is however normal If you subject your device to atypical usage........ Locked in 4-6 hours of gaming (PUBG/Asphalt) and more hours of web surfing and movies, definitely have to charge after 7-8 hours of uptime. It only becomes a problem when a battery discharges considerably when it is idle 1 Like |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Nobody: 10:50am On Dec 02, 2019 |
Hyfer: Is that not what I said 48 hours on normal usage But a normal phone with a 4k battery will last you at least 12 hours on heavy usage . Even the guy admitted that the software had to do with the quick drain. So mr sense what are you now saying? |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by BoluwajiPieters: 10:51am On Dec 02, 2019 |
KngGezy: Are you sure no one is dumb? Under heavy usage, do you get 12hrs SOT on your phone? Heavy usage isn't WhatsApp and IG ooo. I mean graphics intensive games, and long hours on data/WiFi. You don't expect a 4000mAh to give you 12hrs on heavy usage... Stop displaying ignorance abeg. 10 Likes |

DaRkSkOpE: Ikr But that's a wrong thesis Not only when a battery discharges when idle that it is a problem. Even when a battery doesn't last up to its normal battery life then its also a problem. |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by BoluwajiPieters: 10:59am On Dec 02, 2019 |
KngGezy: Lol.. You're just trying to prove a point that there isn't. Immediately I started using using RN8, I decided I was going to put the phone to various tests and I did. Drop test and it didn't break (..madam Fibo for buy new one for me sha) I tested the battery both on light usage (..just come online to surf for a while which basically involves WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and using opera mini) and the phone lasted for well more than a day. I also tested with games (PES20, PUBG, CODM, Cover Fire and Asphalt) with all at the highest setting and graphics possible and my battery didn't last for up to a day. I think I got around 6-7hours with that. I don't know where you're getting your 12hours on heavy usage from oh but personally, I'm cool with my battery although I'd fancy improvement though but who wouldn't? 7 Likes |

BoluwajiPieters: Of course |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by DaRkSkOpE: 11:01am On Dec 02, 2019 |
KngGezy: Heavy usage is relative.... if I connected a high-speed usb flash drive to my phone (OTG) and streamed movies off of it.... That's extra power going to power the drive and read content off of it...... contrast this to if I were just watching off of my internal storage, vs streaming over wifi, vs streaming over LTE, vs streaming over 3G, vs varying levels of brightness. Or if my phone was just playing music via headphones(wired), vs wireless headphones Then consider the thermal conductivity of the phone's internals, bearing in mind that even two units of the same device are not 100% the same. Battery usage is very relative and cannot be categorized absolutely. That's why manufacturers always talk about typical usage...... Typical is in itself a relative term. And there's nothing typical about the real world. 9 Likes 1 Share |

KngGezy: I believe am one of those who stood by you at a point in time due to ur doggedness and inexpiable politeness in ur approach to issues being trashed here, but this is just so wrong. Your ability to skew a topic to biased level of untruthfulness is second only to none. Am i dreaming or are you just trolling with the information u're dishing out here, be careful for the internet never forgets nor does it forgive. I will maintain my stance as i have always done and say this for the last time "speak the ills but also sing the praise, but don't ever skew the truth". My 2 kobo....... 9 Likes 2 Shares |

KngGezy: So what's the normal battery life for 4000mAh with FHD+ 409ppi IPS LCD screen on heavy usage? I want to learn abeg. You're talking like there's a set standard somewhere. Fine! There are expectations but then I hope you know battery life still boils down to individual usage? One guy posted a very long SOT here and I saw that he doesn't really "stress" his phone that much... Just basic things. For people that play games, stay online almost always and do other battery-sapping stuffs on mobile, you don't expect them to hit those expectations. Even the word heavy usage should still be based on different individuals. Your heavy usage might be the lightest of my usage and vice versa. 1 Like |
