Truidstar will be the happiest person with the new development.
Glad Dessers came out bodly to declare his unwavering desire to dorn the green white green.

Was shocked to hear him talk about how happy he'll be if called to play against lowly rated African sides. This are the kind of boys we should be going after. He said same while among top scorers in division two and he is repeating it as top scorer in the elite division. Unlike some boys who want to use Nigeria to gain attention. I wish him the very best.

Pundit: Dessers, you have done so well this season, what are your chances of getting a call up to the Belgian side?

Dessers: Belgium? Oh no! they were never an option. With me, nothing has changed. It is still Nigeria. It will be an honour to be a curator in the SEs than play alongside Eden.

Nigerians:This is our boy.

Belgians: E no go better for you. You this bast**d

Nigerians: that is how it feels to loose a top prospect to you guys... Enjoy your Tammys, Sydneys, Tomoris, Ogbonas.

Hahaha...

I beg to differ. You think Ekong would have been where he is now if it wasn't with the help of the SE? I'm not saying he didn't work hard to get where he is at the moment but don't undermine the impact playing for a national team makes in a players career.

Even Van der Vaart acknowledged the fact that he has played for major tournament for Nigeria thus wouldn't fault his decision to jump ship.

Here is someone that has won Olympic bronze and played at the world cup and you believe scouts wouldn't have a second look at him? Interesting.

You guys like taking the glory to SE

Ndidi is a key player in a top premier league side. Always a starter for a team currently 2nd in the premier league and a team that boasts of the highest clean sheets.

Ndidi stats are amongst the best in the top 5 leagues of Europe. What more can you ask? Ndidi is world class. Fact!!

What is Azubuike doing in Turkey? Let us be objective.

You dont have to school me on Ndidi, I know his status and statistics. My point is that Zuby has been very unfortunate with securing a decent clubside and this is a common place with a lot of players who ply their trade in the deplorable Nigerian league.

Did iheanacho goal overshadow Ndidi impact?

The Leicester City striker stole the headlines on Sunday following a win over Everton in which his compatriot also excelled

By James O'Conners

It’s understandable that Kelechi Iheanacho stole the headlines on Sunday after coming off the bench to contribute an assist and score the winner as Leicester City beat Everton 2-1 at home.

His impact was remarkable considering that the Nigeria international hadn’t played a single minute of Premier League action before being introduced against the Toffees, with the hosts trailing 1-0.

However, while Iheanacho deserves all of the credit and the plaudits that came his way, his performance overshadowed the contribution of compatriot Wilfred Ndidi, who also played a major role in the Foxes come-from-behind triumph.

With Everton in a dire league position and facing a high-flying Leicester side who were their peers in the league table last season, Marco Silva switched to more defensive structure for Sunday’s match.

Instead of his usual 4-2-3-1 formation, the coach opted for a 5-4-1 shape when defending and a 3-4-2-1 setup when on the attack. Alex Iwobi played as the right-sided inside forward, meaning he had the not-insignificant duty of tracking Ben Chilwell’s forward runs.

For Leicester, it was the usual 4-3-3, with Ndidi as the deepest of the three central midfielders; he was there to provide a solid base for James Maddison and Youri Tielemans, allowing the pair to get into scoring positions, find space between the lines or beyond the opposition in the half spaces.

Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi

While the Super Eagles star excels in this role, does it truly get the best out of his natural qualities?

In the first 15 minutes, Ndidi received the ball 23 times, more than any other player on the pitch, but as Everton sat in a compact shape and allowed the Nigeria midfielder to have the ball, his game rarely showed the penetration required to break down such resolute opponents.

There were flashes of ambition in his passing; a diagonal towards Harvey Barnes in the 11th minute, an overcooked slide rule pass for Ayoze Perez in the 17th and a expertly drilled switch of play to Chilwell on the half-hour mark.

The second half saw Ndidi take the game by the scruff of the neck.

It’s always been blatantly clear that 22-year-old business and management student is suppressing some of his natural game to give Brendan Rodgers what he wants from a base midfielder.

With Leicester trailing, he came out of his shell.

There was a 54th-minute interception and back-heeled pass from which Ricardo Pereira tested Jordan Pickford.

Iheanacho Leicester 2019

After his countryman, Iheanacho came on, there were further moments to drive his side on.

Once Leicester changed their formation, Ndidi also had far more licence to break forward with three central defenders behind him.

Four minutes after Iheanacho came on, the midfielder played a double one-two with him and set up the left-footed striker to shoot. It lacked power, but it showed the change in Leicester, and Ndidi’s intent.

Two minutes later, he won a header, picked up the loose ball, slipped Kelechi in down the right and when his cross-cum-shot was skewed across goal and Vardy tapped in.

By now, Ndidi was playing forward passes into Vardy’s feet or releasing him in the channels.

Sanchez Flores sacking illogical - Rodgers
As for Ndidi, his tepid first half was replaced by a dynamic, determined second period.

By full time, he had completed 69% of his 26 forward passes, albeit with just 28% of his total passes going towards the Everton goal. He created four shooting chances for teammates, won all four of his tackles and made two interceptions.

He was arguably the real man of the match, but may only show these true qualities when Rodgers gives him a greater licence to express himself.

He is just an average player, nothing special.

The Nigeria sport awards didn't even nominated ndidi ...that show how lowly we rate him here
Oshimen scores, who remembers ndidi?
Who analyses his performance other than the normal " he played well " comments
And yes ndidi is definitely world class and he has been ever consistent
Zuby is nowhere near ndidi
Imagine ndidi only midfielder in the 4-1-4-1 formation yet mist clean sheets with less goals conceeded and u still doubting him or calling him average
Later caf will snub him then we start crying foul play when we ourselves do not value him
Leceister values him....it shows a lot
Ndidi is world class !!!!!!

How much is Mane or Salah kit endorsement deal?

Are they not African players?

I don't know, you tell me.

But being star players for Liverpool they should be quite lucrative.

However, l know that Mane is sponsored by New Balance and from speaking to thier reps l know they don't pay huge amounts of money.

Should l talk about Dele Alli instead he has lucrative endorsements with Adidas too.

What the sports manufacturers look at is your global foot print and market influence by way of your brand.

In this regard Drogba had a very lucrative endorsement with NIKE. But then he was not just an African star but a world wide one.

Just because Ndidi is very fortunate to be playing in the Premiership doesnt equal to being the best. He is the most rated because of the league he plays in not based on natural talent. In the Super Eagles Ndidi has struggled to to impress and live up to expectations. He is a very hardworking guy, great tackler with enormous energy but offers very little on the technical side. Nonetheless , he has improved but no where near world class.

Zuby will replace him and sure can give Rohr selection headaches...watch out how things unfold

The other examples you sited doesn't really add up. These players are already known to some extent and not a relatively unknown player who plays in an obscure league.

That aside, national team has a huge impact on players career. Tell me why someone like Messi would still want to play for his country (even after retiring at some points) if not to win a laurel with his national team.

Forget about the club football craze now, some decades back, if you dont play at the World Cup for your country, and actually win it, you are not a fulfilled footballer.

That's hypocrisy, bigotry and double standard .

Imagine we could test all our youth national players. With an offer of a change of allegiance to England, Germany, France, USA, etc resulting in a very lucrative football contract and nationality of these countries.

Tell what % do you think will opt to remain in Nigeria and playing in the NPFL for peanuts.

That proposition is simply birthed from a very parochial and biased view.

So what is LOYALTY and ALLEGIANCE in the Nigerian context. Do you know the % of technocrats from Nigeria in the UK that have changed Nationality by choice. Then pledged allegiance to the Queen are they now traitors according to you.

How many people on this thread given the option to denounce Nigeria and accept USA for a better life will actually do it.

Sorry you have a very superficial approach to most things no depth.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Racing Genk are the latest club interested in signing Nigeria U17 international Samson Tijani.

The Golden Eagles captain has previously courted interest from another Belgian First Division A side, Anderlecht but they pulled out of the deal because of the multiplicity of mandates, with several agents claiming to represent the central midfielder.

Racing Genk, where Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi started his professional career, are mulling over calling off the deal because of the aforementioned reason.

At least two aggrieved agents issued parental consent are determined to bring Tijani's father, Bashiru Tijani, to book but he has gone into hiding to avoid possible arrest.

Per court documents cited by this website, Bashiru Tijani was residing at No. 16 Shobande Rasak Street, Aboru, Ipaja in Lagos State, before the owner of Jossy United Football Club rented a new apartment for him and his family.

An agent spent over N1.5 million before he was issued a mandate by Tijani's father.

Before Bashiru Tijani agreed to issue the agent a parental consent, he was lodged in a hotel, Rita's Events & Suites, Abule Egba for three days and invited a close friend and one of his family members living in Ibadan to wine and dine with him, with the agent picking up the tabs.

Allnigeriasoccer.com contacted a close friend to the owner of Jossy United to hear his side of the story but he informed this website that the Festac Town-based Chief traveled out of town.

I'm not taking anything from his club performance.. He has done really well for himself in the past few years, there's no doubt about that.. But the national team has played a role in his career progression too..

If the national team doesn't help a player's progress, then why do agents and top football officials try to bribe coaches to invite their players to the national team?

RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi remains on the radars of Liverpool and Arsenal.

The 17-year-old has netted eight times in just 13 appearances while out on loan in Austrian Bundesliga 2 this season with Liefering from RB Salzburg.

The talented striker has long caught the eye of Spanish giants Barcelona - most specifically academy director Patrick Kluivert.

However, Sport says Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal are now monitoring Adeyemi's situation.

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are also keeping close tabs on the sought-after teenager.

Liverpool, currently setting the pace in the Premier League, first discovered Adeyemi coming up against the striker in the UEFA Youth League.
