I mean... Why would someone with multi million "INHERITANCE" be trolling the travel section for years?

Shouldn't he be sleeping and waking up in the biz section looking for prospective clients or new business ideas?

Or probably rolling with business men in Ikoyi?

Instead he's here talking to low life people like me, discouraging us from finding a "better life".

WTH is he doing in the travel section? Frustrated? Disappointed? By the US? Clearly it's one of those or related to.

Dude is jobless. Smh

If someone had told me a month ago, that I would be leaving Nigeria for USA, I would have considered it a very expensive joke.
Following our successful visa interview, feels right to inform this amazing Nairaland family that my family and I have finally touched down Washington DC. This would be our new home for now.
Feels refreshing to eventually leave Nigeria for good.

It"s freezing cold here, would keep tabs of my daily experiences here in the USA on this thread, but before that, tips on how to survive this chill would most importantly be appreciated.

And someone told me today that to get USA visa is nearly impossible for youths, that I should try Canada instead, Pls how true is this?

.

No country visa is impossible to get.
Else it's not human being that reside in the country.

When it comes to USA, the difficulty in obtaining a visa is dependent on the type of visa, be it tourist, student or immigration.

Lagos to Ethiopia.

We used Ethiopia airlines and as a result had to stop by at Adis ababa.
this was basically my first time of using a plane, and I felt strong nausea especially during take off. I felt my head turning onionon. but still had to maintain that all was normal.

flight to ethiopa was an enjoyable one. took us over 6hours to get to Adis Ababa at the speed of over 720km/hr.
was afraid through the flight, so had to stay awake all through. watched some blockbuster movies from the small tv in front of my seat b4 retiring to the videos in my phone and then musics.

The Ethiopians are really amazing people, and have consistently made a beautiful home out of their country. the view from the sky was glorious as everywhere was lighted up.

They have a much more super airport compared to Lagos international airport and they are very proud of their achievements.

I took some pictures before and after landing in Adis ababa
reminded me of my own experience in 2017. Took Ethiopian airline to IAD, nice experience. The funny thing is that when we landed at IAD people started clapping kinda odd.

It's not tough talk. It's real talk.
Continue deflecting. I'm not hating.
I'm actually glad that you're getting more exposure to what a civilised Country is truly like.
It'd just be a shame if you did it in a way that wouldn't pay you or your fellow Nigerians well in the long run.

The clapping is normal, I think.
It's not easy flying a plane for long hours and making a successful landing. The clap is a sign of thank you for doing your job perfectly.

Most big shots here are looking for people that will fix in for the season peak.
They need much people to fill up some good positions that are left vacant because of the much workload during the December/January period.

The applications are not really that deficult and the interviews mostly are majorly for formalities.

I even had to turn down the offer from amazon because its just very far from my location.

It's just very amazing how after an interview, you are notified of your job employment option in less than 24hours.
Organisation is good.

.

One major mistake I try to always avoid here is that of insincerity.

I learnt its even a crime here.
How then can I fill to have job experiences in America when I'm barely a month here.

In my resume, I had to neatly put in all relevant job experiences I had in Nigeria, together with the company names and even addresses.

I wouldn't want to shoot myself on the foot, it doesn't pay.

Yes,I think it depends on the state too, here in Nevada so many job seekers and few jobs, alot of people migrating from California because of cost of living but the amount of jobs don't really match.
