When I first signed up on NL, I told myself I will jump and pass stupid people with their stupidity.

I will only comment on threads where I feel I have a sensible contribution to make and I will not engage with stupid/nasty people.

Ask me how all of that has worked out It can be hard to remain disengaged and to ignore bullies who come after you or go after others, without justification.

I am okay with divergent views/opinions when people are civil and well mannered about it, what is not okay is the insults and name calling for no good reason.

I saw that thread being discussed here, I gave up on the very first page when someone called her a whoore and got 227 likes for that comment.

What manner of people have we become that such an insult will generate 227 likes? It was 227 when I last viewed that thread, the number must have gone up since then.

I just told myself you will get rid of this negativity called Nairaland as 2019 ends and you go into 2020. I have contributed to some of the toxicity here, but that was only in response/retaliation to bullies wanting to bring others down.

Evil persists when good people say or do nothing. Some moderators don't even help the situation by allowing certain comments & threads to remain.

The precious girl came online for advice after doing something as wrong as sending a picture to a male friend with no professional reason attached to it and her first post before the moderators modified it for Frontpage was so packed together and I somehow missed where she said "HIM" because she put a fullstop after it and then put "MY" directly after.. Something in the likes of >>> "hi.my"..
I realized I was wrong about that and I have since apologized to her but she came at me the wrong way..

She needed advice urgently,, nothing stops her from just outright telling me it was male or female and I still went ahead to give her a good advice on the situation... Told her nothing a good discuss can't solve and she should sit and talk with her husband (Keeping malice is very childish)... I got called a Slowpoke for it though and i really regret not ignoring her though cause I've come to realize she's probably a troll and none of these ever happened..

I wasn't in a good mood yersteday and I let my anger get the better of me and I apologize for that.. I respect people's opinions and calling people derogatory names isn't my thing and I'm not proud of it.. Actually came back online to rectify that but some mod had already pushed the thread to Frontpage and there she was also calling other people slowpokes for advising her..
