thorpido:Lol... U want to start d argument u don't have d mental capability to finish. Holy Quran dat we believe in states it dat we should believe in d existence of all prophets and messengers of God (Jesus inclusive). All abundant life u are saying are illogical. We follow what our book teaches us not what ur book teaches, so keep ur abundance. |

Siralgebra04:The book of Buddha teaches something.Anyone can follow what ANY book teaches. It's not about what some book teaches.it is about TRUTH. The Quran says 'knowledge is with the people of the book'.That means something deep. Jesus said,ye speak that ye know of but we speak that which we know..... Talking about illogical, some people don't believe in the existence of God you say you believe in.They say it is 'illogical'. When you brand anything illogical, shine the light on even what you believe.TRUTH has nothing to do with 'logical'. By the way what do you mean by 'u don't have the mental capability to finish'?You know me?Or you're feeling like some god who knows everybody?.......I laugh at human foolishness. |

livebyday: He never preached in large auditoriums or citadel's instead he opted to preach in the hill sides and gardens Exactly! Exactly, exactly. It was a political move. Jesus was a radical. And we can see from what happened in Sowore's case what happens to radicals and people who challenge the status quo. Just because He was divine, it does not mean that He was not subject to the social and political systems that govern human interactions. You talk too much, you ask too many questions, you challenge the big boys, you are finished! At any point in time, This dude would have been killed because He was dealing with HUMANS! Sinful, selfish, ambitious, covetous humans! Even if He were here now, they would still kill Him. Thats the whole point. He came to die for us, not because we are such good Christians but because we are nothing to write home about, yet He still loves us. If somebody is preaching on a mountain somewhere, away from your own synagogue, is it a crime? In fact you are even supposed to be happy that people are being healed and freed. Live and let live, right? But as usual, human beings couldnt help but see Him as a threat and a nuisance. So they conspired against Him, the same way we see so many conspiracies end in tragedy. Unfair and unjust tragedy against an innocent soul who was only trying to improve his society. He was not MEANT to die, the same way Sowore was not MEANT to be captured. The same way Abiola was MEANT to be the president. The same way so many things were not MEANT to happen, but they happened because humans are inherently wicked! That is literally the whole point of the Bible. The Old Testament and the Gospels keep showing us how helpless we are and why we really need a drastic intervention of some kind. 1 Like |

midnighter: Thanks for your input. Like you rightly said, going by your efforts alone, you cannot make heaven. That's established in the hadeeth I quoted. Unless God encompasses you with His mercy and grace. This is what befits His Majesty. God does God-like things in a manner that befits His Majesty. The whole process of Him coming down to become Human, acting like human, feeling pain like human feels pain, eating and drinking and having urges like humans do e.t c defeats the purpose or nature of God. If the end result of it was was for the sins of mankind to be wiped away, God can of course do that without having to come down as human and die! Or is there any other lesson He wants us to learn from that action aside dying for our sins? And again, why would God create us with original sin in the first place? Isn't that unfair that an innocent person will begin to carry the burden of sin He knows nothing about from birth? And again, all those people who lived before Jesus came, are they not humans too? If God considered all humans as sinful and cannot attain heaven except He dies for their sin, then why did He not die for our sins much earlier so as to save those who lived before Jesus came? Why did He only save those generations that came after Jesus came? I am not limiting God. I am saying that it is against the very nature of God to abide with sin. This is why I used the oil and water illustration. Me saying you are limiting God is targeted at your statement "How much mercy can God dole out to save someone" and not this one you are pointing at. God's mercy is infinite and is enough to save someone and He doesn't need to come down as human to die for sins. God's mercy is enough. This is God! This is the point. Those acts of worship are wonderful, but the entities performing them are not. I like you for one thing - You seem very intelligent (wIth all humility intended). But it seems you are trying to understand or interprete things the wrong way. Now lemme make this clear. And I'm going to use the examples of madman and darling wife you gave. You were right when you said if a madman gives me a loaf of bread, I won't accept but I will accept if it comes from a darling wife. One of the conditions of deeds being accepted by God is to have faith. That's what we call Eman. Having faith in Allaah cleanses you of all your sins of the past and it is the foundation on which your deeds will be laid. See this: Muslim (121) narrated that ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: When Allaah put Islam in my heart, I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: “Give me your right hand so that I may swear allegiance to you.” He held out his hand and I withdrew my hand. He said, “What is the matter, O ‘Amr?” I said, “I want to stipulate a condition.” He said, “What do you want to stipulate?” I said, “That I will be forgiven.” He said, “Do you not know that Islam destroys that which came before it?” So when someone accepts faith, He becomes new and cleansed of His past sins. And accepting faith is the foundation of acceptance of deeds. Allaah only accept deeds from someone who has faith. The deeds of the one who has no faith is useless. So the person who accepts faith becomes new and cleansed so he becomes like the darling wife you mentioned. So just as I will accept the bread from the darling wife, Allaah will accept this person deeds. But when someone remains a disbeliever, he is like the mad man you mentioned. So just like I will reject his bread, Allaah will reject his deeds. Then because the paradise that Allah offers us is a blessings that is immensely great, our deeds alone cannot attain an abode that is as magnificent as such. The Prophet said in one hadith that the comparison between this life and the next life is like the amount of water someone will bring out if he dips his finger in an ocean as compared to the whole ocean itself. That's like two drops of water compared to a whole ocean!!! So paradise is an abode that's more than a trillion times better than this world and our deeds alone are not enough to attain such gift. That's the essence of that hadeeth where the Prophet said that our deeds alone cannot get us there except Allaah encompasses us with His mercy and grace. Do you understand now? This is what makes sense - with all honesty. God doesn't have to stoop so low to come as a human being and die - the whole process defeats His nature and is blasphemous. All what you need is accept faith, you will become cleansed of your past. Then start doing deeds and strive as much as you can. Then when the time comes, Allaah will support your deeds with His mercy and grace and you will make paradise because your deeds alone do not deserve the enormity of the pleasures in it. That's what makes perfect sense. Who is "Imes"? I keep seeing it but I dont know what it means In the world of today, where the Muslims have drifted miserably away from the true Islam and that has caused us to lose our glory and make the non Muslims think so low of us, cast aspersions and lies against our religion and oppress us; Imes is the one through whom Allaah will revive our glory; Imes is coming to unite the Muslims or many Muslims under the true Islam; He is coming to reform the Muslim world into a new and better world; He is coming to build a new civilization better than this present one; a civilization that's influenced by Islamic values; He is coming to make the Muslims independent of the Kuffar and great and powerful; He is coming to defend Islam against all the lies that you non Muslims tell against Islam; He is a coming reformer and saviour through whom the lives of many people will be touched positively and people will be guided to the truth; And through him, many non Muslims will as well enter Islam; And so on... That's Imes. Prepare for his coming and feel free to tell your people 4 Likes |

Most always get upset and then revert to the status quo of don't question God etc Bravo that is no small feat, you should be proud .. Having said that.. We both disagree on some.things 1. We agree he died yes , but I say hsi mission wasn't to come and commit suicide but to show mankind the way to live 2. This was a threat to the church so they ganged up against him 3. He was murdered but the church changed the narative to be he came to die for mankind |

musicwriter:So why are you spreading falsehood against Christianity is it out of natural hatred? The day you die you will know the truth and it will be too late for you to repent and accept Jesus. Late free thinkers and so called atheists know the truth now and they cannot come back here on Earth to accept Jesus for there is no such second chance or opportunity for. You still have the opportunity while you are still here on Earth. Atheists wish there is no God, but there is. |

livebyday: Lol. I am not upset because I dont believe that we are contradicting each other. Anybody who understands the sacrifice of Jesus must understand that if they themselves were to encounter Jesus not knowing who He truly was, they would probably hate his guts! Your sinful human nature is at odds with Jesus' perfection and you have a choice either to accept it and tackle your vices with His help or reject it and keep stumbling. Thats why we say that we are "in the world but not of it", thats why its necessary to become "born-again" and thats why Christians are persecuted. Because EOD, human character and desire often goes contrary to what God wants and says. 1 We agree he died yes , but I say hsi mission wasn't to come and commit suicide but to show mankind the way to live I dont understand why you keep listing these events as if they are binary. Is it not possible to aim to accomplish 2 things at once? He came and taught us how to live. He came and died. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. I think I have already addressed these; His mission was to show mankind the way to live BUT in doing so, He knew that He would die for the same mankind He came to help. Because ultimately, none of us really wants His help. We all want to eat whenever, sleep whenever, watch stupid movies, gossip and have sex whenever we want to, without somebody telling us that its wrong. Or if we acknowledge that it can be wrong, the way we do that should still be on our own terms. So why wouldnt we kill Jesus? Alternatively, He knew He would die for the same mankind He came to help because how, how could the promised Messiah, the emissary of the Most High God, come in the form of a peasant labourer, a carpenter's son born out of wedlock in the worst neighbourhood in town, hanging out with prostitutes and embezzlers? And how could He call Himself the Son of God? What type of insult is that? So why wouldnt we kill Jesus? 3 He was murdered but the church changed the narative to be he came to die for mankind You would have to qualify this. Which "church" are you referring to? Who changed what narrative? The prophecy that the lamb of God was coming to die for the sins of the world had been looming throughout the Bible, so the narrative was actually consistent. If anything they would have tried to change the narrative to be that his death was insignificant, to try to cover the whole thing up. Because thats why they murdered Him in the first place, to stop Him from gaining too much relevance. |
