The importance of GCMS notes cannot be overemphasised. [/quote]Please, what is the process and cost of ordering GCMS notes?

Hi guys, please what does it mean when the agent at IRCC says over the phone that eligibility is under review required? Does it mean if one has an LOE with the application it automatically goes under review required? Or some documents for the eligibility require review?
Thank you.
the junior officer requires a senior officer who is more experienced to look at it also. Most times its not an issue. Order gcms notes to see the true picture. I have seen people with that review required who got ppr few days later

In as much as I don't like to argue..I will disagree with you on this one. Have you taken a critical look at the pool and d distribution. I think @ednut1 posted it. The truth is over 700% increase in range 451-600 and just 17% increase in range 401-450. Do you know what that means?....more younger and qualified people are flooding the pool.
Moreover as for PNP...do you know how long it takes for people to get nominated before updating their profile. Let's wake up...

Yeah, I don't know what that means and that's why my paragraph read thus: "unregulated" (for want of a better word) PNP draws + normally qualified people with 470s up = high draw score. By January, lots of people will be in the pool, qualified.."
PNPs are a major factor and you can't wish it away. Enjoy.

Hello, everyone. Please I need help concerning the right NOC to choose. I have a Bachelors degree with 6years work experience in this field, and a masters degree in public health with no work experience whatsoever in Public health field. Would it be okay if I choose the NOC for my bachelors degree even though I also claim to have a masters degree as my highest qualification?
Also, does anyone know anything about alternative career for professions that are regulated or licensed?
PLEASE, I NEED KIND HEARTED FELLOWS TO HELP ME OUT HERE! THANKS.....
NOCs have nothing to do with your degree. They have to do with your job description. Since your 6 years work experience is in the bachelors, use the bachelors. However, be very careful that you don't just pick the NOC based on your bachelors degree but based on your job description. Very important

The name thing is always very dicey because there is no guarantee the divorce process will be over by March.
In my opinion, there are 2 options.
1. Go ahead to do a change of name and affidavit back to your previous name and then use that as basis to get a new passport.
2. Write exams with your current name and when the divorce proceedings are over, you can use the divorce documents to do another change of name back to your old name, then renew that passport. This is because divorce does not automatically mean your name has changed back. So when you're submitting to the Canadian Government, you do a letter of explanation stating why you have 2 different names on your documents etc etc.

P.S: If you have children, it may complicate your application so I suggest you start looking at all the legal requirements to bring your children along.

Neeri:
Hello Good people!
I've been a silent follower of this group and now I've finally caught this Canada Bug. grin . please I have some few questions. Gurus in the house I need your kind help.

I'm currently separated and the divorce proceedings in court but my passport bears my spouse name and since we're no longer together I would like to use my maiden name for my application and the passport will expire march next year .

I want to know if I can sit for my ielts exam with this passport bearing in mind that it will expire in march?

Secondly,
Is it possible to write the exam with my maiden name though I will present a passport which holds a different surname or should I just wait till next year when it expires and my divorce is finalised before I begin this process and also renew my passport?

I will be 35 April next year and from what I've read so far I loose points for birthdays and I'm worried.

Note:All documents are in my maiden name
Highest qualification is MSC.

Thank you for your kind responses.

Nope. You need a letter for the bank that has your POF.

Thanks so much. Yes, I want to use the NOC of my bachelors degree which is in line with my job duties (as would be indicated in my reference letters). I was only worried that my MSc degree for which I am claiming as the highest degree, has no work experience attached to it. Moreover, I don't even know the appropriate NOC for public health.

No need to get from all 5 banks, just get the reference letter from the bank you want to use.

I’ve already submitted updated POF. I considered that before I got GCMS today, I received an ADR last week for updated POF and I thought it would be more complicated to change POF since they are asking for an update. Submitted that and got re-medicals almost immediately.

All the best ma'am.

@All, a general note of warning on Mutual Funds. They are equity based and even though the Fund Manager or Asset Manager may indicate that you can easily liquidate your investment, the truth is that the amount you receive on liquidation may differ (and be lower) from your original investment if asset/share prices have dropped significantly.

This is not the case with treasury bills (which one holds to maturity) or a deposit for which a bank may charge some small nominal fee for early liquidation on (if at all). This may be why some VOs have issues with Mutual Funds. I know people will say "but it has worked for lagbaja"...but...a word is enough for the wise....apart from deposits and treasury bills, CASH is king!

Hello fam,

Please I need clarification as it relates to medicals.

With crs score of 471, I was ‘sure’ that I’ll get ITA and booked(and paid) for medicals at qlife for Dec17.

Is it advisable to go ahead with the medicals or reschedule?

I'll appreciate responses.

Thanks!

As God would have it, there was no FSW draw that day (make nobody stone me shoe o!) and I knew God had a plan. Two days later, WES sent my report and an hour later, my profile was sitting pretty in the pool (talk about speed). May 29th came and cut-off was 470 (chisos!).

Go ahead bruv. You paid already. Better still, you could discuss with them for a change of date. Probably three weeks time, by which you'd have probably received ITA.

Hello all,
Please has anyone here heard of the international volunteer position for the End Hunger and Disease Initiative for Canada?
How legitimate is it and can one use the volunteer offer to claim points for job offer?

Thanks
