Blueelf:I am not assuming from a small sample size... if you look through the spree of human capital development in the country you'll find out inspite of the Hausa fulanis preoccupation with political power for the past decades little can be said of the development of their people.... the quest for political power does not automatically means being ambitious it can as well.stem from greed and the fear of being trampled upon by other minority groups.. looking over it will reveal to you...that illiteracy and poverty still flows in the north and even during time of GEJ it was revealed that some of the boko haram activities were being accentuated by the elites just to dose him out of power..... that wasn't being ambitious for your people... inspite of this... what has the needed quest for power brought about in the social and economic development of the people.... an ambitious folks will not birth Nigeria all over and the leaders drastcally support it being that it gives numerical strength during elections...... in the south an illetrate who can't read and write will still try to make needs to attend adult school.... I am not saying the southerners are better off though...but if looked into you'll see that the northerners in times of the drive for human, economic and social capital development are really lagging behind and the elites who occupy the seats of power have done little in this regard cc: edi287 |

Phillips Osondu former youth international has been reported dead. Showed a lot of promiSr as an U17 but never fulfilled his potentials at Anderlecht. He played in the U21 in Saudi 89 and I think Westerhoff invited him for Algiers 90 which he turned down. RIP Osondu. |

Heracles Almelo star Cyriel Dessers has emerged as a transfer target for Belgian First Division A side Club Brugge. Voetbal24.be citing Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws says Club Brugge are looking to sign a striker who scores plenty of goals and the Belgian-Nigerian fits the bill. Midfielder Hans Vanaken is Club Brugge's top scorer in the league with 9 goals, followed by David Okereke with seven, but the Nigeria U23 star has fired blanks in his last four league matches after a brilliant start to the season. Dessers is open to the idea of joining Club Brugge as he wants to show his qualities to the Belgian public. Although the 25-year-old is valued in the region of one million euros by transfer market experts, Heracles Almelo could demand more money after taking the Dutch Eredivisie by storm in the ongoing campaign. If his move to Club Brugge materializes, he would be battling Okereke and Super Eagles star Emmanuel Dennis for a spot in attack. Sporting Lisbon as well as Cagliari have also been credited with an interest in the former Oud-Heverlee Leuven, St-Truiden and Union FC Rutten youth-teamer. With 11 goals in 16 games, Dessers is Nigeria's joint-top scorer in Europe, an honour he shares with Partizan's Umar Sadiq. |
