The question remain why Dangote? Why can't the federal government make our refineries work? Or is Dangote now bigger than the federal government? Sir you just ask the same question I was about to ask, A citizen is doing what the Federal government can not do. So Dangote is richer than the whole of Nigeria. God save this country from the hand of leaders who care less about the prosperity and fortune of this nation. 1 Like |

lagdmark: Use your fcking brain. Where did I say Nigeria ''enjoys reliable services''? I said it is the ROLE of the private sector, of which YOU are a part of, to provide those services. 1 Like 1 Share |

Rossikk:STOP REASONING LIKE A DUNCE!! We're not waiting for government to do everything for us. They said people should embrace farming, we agreed. People started farming, only for the herdsmen to come to the farms to kill the farmers and destroy farms. Even those that are in to buying and selling were not spared, kidnappings everywhere. Which private sector are you talking about? Which basic infrastructure are you talking about, in an environment where safety of lives and property cannot be guaranteed? No steady power supply. Not even a barbershop can operate effectively without power, what more of welders and the likes? Stop sounding RIDICULOUS!! 1 Like |

Dangote's first priority will be how to pay back the loans used to set up the refinery and not how Nigeria will save x amount of billions. If FG had set up a refinery same time as Dangote started, the refinery would have been operational by now but they would rather place the future of an entire nation to a man that dreams of being the richest man on earth by merely producing sugar, cement etc. 2 Likes |

brosammy: Dude, public enterprises usually run inefficiently and/or at a loss wherever in the world. Why? Because their objectives are political/altruistic as opposed to being profit-driven. That is why the most successful nations today are those where the PRIVATE SECTOR invests in public services. That is what is now happening in Nigeria so SHUT UP AND STOP MOANING. GO SET UP YOUR PRIVATE ENTERPRISE AND DO SOMETHING. 2 Likes 1 Share |

This Government will never ceased to amaze Nigerians, the last time I checked,Dangote refinery management said they will get crude oil at international market price and also sell its refined products at international market prices and also they will not engage in crude oil swapping for petroleum products. |

paix: ABEG GET LOST WITH YOUR EXCUSES. 99% of those in farming have no issues with herdsmen, so STOP LYING AND EXAGGERATING to cover your uselessness. ''Kidnappings everywhere'' indeed. What haven't they kidnapped you or your mother yet, since it's ''everywhere''? In America thousands are killed every year by gun violence. Has that stopped the private sector from doing business there? MR EXCUSE MAKER. Abeg commot for my face. Most of you are just useless, brainless, and feckless. Keep waiting for ''GOVERNMENT''. Mumu people. 3 Likes 1 Share |

brosammy: Million dollar question. Unfortunately, you can't expect anything progressive from a government run by retrogressive individuals who have nothing upstairs. Other countries have left us wayyyyy behind. Yet some dunces are defending this mediocre (to put it mildly) retrogressive govt. Takes one to defend one in any case. |

so we waste more than 10 billion us dollars importing motor spirit every year. The government can't find a way to build refineries to safe our naira, rather they keep banning rice fish that don't worth upto 1 billion dollars. |
