GOP lawmaker has been humiliated after accusing several members of Congress of voting to impeach Trump before they were in office
The leftist "squad" (AOC, Tlaib, Omar, etc.) ran on impeaching Trump, Pelosi herself said that they've been working on it for 2½ years

One republican in the house had to defect and become independent so he could vote for Trump to be impeached and there are fears that more would defect.

Also two thirds of the senate (when Trump eventually appears there) are showing strong concerns and want a fair hearing. They also want to uphold the constitution and not run along party lines

The Senate won't impeach him

The only thing BIPARTISAN about this impeachment are the votes AGAINST impeachment

It is a shame the Democrats have resorted to this. They seem to forget that one day a Democrat will become President. They are certainly lowering the standards because they cannot beat Trump at the election. Yet, they do not want radical progressives like Bernie to win the nomination because he is not sponsored by the elites and their biddings would not be accomplished.

Republicans have tried twice today to derail the impeachment process and failed and it has been alleged that Trump has paid off every Republican. They just don't see how they can put him above the country. "They are not standing to their oath of office to protect the Constitution. Some may fear for their careers but I don't think that's all of it."
Trump doesn't need to pay anybody off. Did Trump pay me off? I support him because I've seen the evidence and he's innocent. Hell! These people started this whole process even before the main evidence, call transcript with Zelensky, was released. What does that tell you? They've been working on this since 2016.

Trump is the most powerful man in the world by virtue of his country.

He is a million times more powerful than Buhari.

Yet, he is shaking in his boots at the wrath of the representatives of the people as he should in a true democracy that originated from ancient Greece.

In Nigeria, buhari has turned our own Congress to a toothless rubber stamp led by Imbeciles.

The Democratic majority House members blocked the Republican minority from presenting fact witnesses. And if there's a disagreement between 2 coequal branches of government (Trump's executive and Pelosi's Legislative), it's up to the aggrieved party to take it to the 3rd coequal branch (the courts) to settle it. There's no crime there

I think Donald Trump deserves to be impeached, but I also think Joe Biden's Turkey dealings should be investigated. Both Donald Trump and Joe Biden appear to have abused their powers for personal gain, and neither of them deserves to be the president of the world United States.

LOL. If you knew who I was, you will cease with this repeated propaganda narrative. It does not work with me, no matter how many times you repeat it.

Trump has delivered on promises to cut taxes and regulations and promote activity through more aggressive government spending.Trump’s economic program was very simple: an attack on taxes and regulations with an extra dose of spending on infrastructure and the military that would create a supply shock to a moribund economy.

On the tax side, the White House pushed through a massive $1.5 trillion reform plan that sliced the highest-in-the-world corporate tax from 35 percent to 21 percent and lowered rates for millions of taxpayers, though the cuts for individuals will expire in 2025.

On deregulation, Trump ordered that rules be pared back or eliminated across the board. During his time in office, Congress has cut back on the Dodd-Frank banking reforms, particularly in areas affecting regional and community institutions, rolled back a multitude of environmental protections that he said were killing jobs and took a hatchet to dozens of other rules. (The left-leaning Brookings Institution think tank has a rolling deregulation tracker)

During the first year of his administration, “significant regulatory activity” had declined 74 percent from where it was in the same period of the Obama administration, according to data collected by Bridget Dooling, research professor at GW’s Regulatory Studies Center.

Results: Business confidence is soaring, in part thanks to a softer regulatory environment. Consumer sentiment by one measure is at its highest level in 18 years. Corporate profits, owed in good part to Trump's tax cuts, are coming close to setting records. Each of those accomplishments can be tied either directly to new policies or at least indirectly through a brimming sense of hope from businesses that the White House is back on their side.

It is simple business logic. Cut tax for big businesses and they will invest the money into growing their business in the country which NOW has a lower tax. They will bring their offshore businesses into the country BECAUSE of low taxes.
When you have the left-leaning Washington Post admitting that Trump's tax and regulatory intervention has boosted manufacturing and jobs, perhaps you should stop writing and stop listening.

LOL. I will take it that you are too lazy to do your research and you need help from me. Which I cannot give now because I am actually very busy.

The midterm elections historically favour the opposition party to that of the president especially in the house. The idea is for an opposition checks on the president. You might like to verify your claim.

The republican party has won almost all the off-cycle house elections this year.

2020 is not far away, but the democrats are already jittery.

Forget about Trump's style, it's a rare thing to actually get a politician who clearly keeps the promises he's made during campaign, and Donald Trump has even done much more for the non-elitists Americans.

It depend on how far back one wants to go as far as the party who do well well in midterms. My reference to midterms were relative to turnouts, as GOP tend to do better when turns are low and midterms and off-cycle elections are low turnout elections.

Agreed, the Democrats have to defend more seat in Red districts that Trump won, but if you combined that with the districts that GOP have to now give up because of the gerrymandering, I think the Democrats will still keep the House in 2020.

The Senate are highly favored to keep the Senate in 2020, only about 4 GOP Senators are in competitive races.

For the Presidency, Trump is still favored to win, that is because of the power of the incumbency and the fact that the economy is doing well. The US economy is cyclical, which means years of uptrend are immediately followed by years of downtrend...The current uptrend started with the Obama bailouts, but no one knows when they will end. So, Predicting the POTU election outcome now will be challenging, but the Democrats will help their chances, if Biden or Pete is nominated, Warren will be a drag on their hopes.

I think both parties are jittery, Trump truly wanted to get dirty on Biden from a foreign government; agreed he did not get it, until he was caught, but if he thinks the elections are in the bags, he wouldn't be doing that.

Lol. He will be impeached by the house of representative today. He WILL be impeached.

However he cannot be removed from office because the US senate is dominated by republicans and the democrat cannot see the 2/3 majority to remove him from office.

The USA constitution give the house of representative the power to impeach a president and they gave only the senate the power to Remove the president from office.

So as the situation stands now, Trump will be impeached but he will still remain in office till the 2020 election.
