Please, I would want you to think critically before answering these simple but deep questions in all honesty. I'm a Christian by faith. You know, often times, we talk about God's blessings,favours and protection,etc. But it's not different from what pagans and others enjoy too. A Christian gets a job and attribute it to God,in a company where an atheist is the director. Christians as well die in auto/plane crash, just like others. In Nigeria, Christians are suffering under the government of a muslim president, in which the vice isn't just a Christian, but a Clergy. Check the statistics of richest people in the world,then know the position of Christians. We read the Bible of how signs and wonders happen physically and instantly (especially the old testament),but can we say same of it today. There are alot to say but lemme hold it here. 1)So what special blessing, favor and so,have you received that made you believe more in Christ? 2)Apart from the Bible,what other special proof do you have to prove God's existence? 1 Like |

Very valid questions but a lot on Christians will not like the answers to these questions because the answers does not meet up to their wicked expections and desires. YoungLionken:there is a scripture that explains this : Matthew 5:45 ...For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. If God is not biased but blessed the good and the bad equally what will make a Christian think that God should favor him first over an atheist or a Muslim who is not bad? You see why i say the desires and expections of most Christians are wicked? that was in the old testament! Things are better now we don't need God's supernatural interventions in our affairs anymore, how long will God continue to do that? Matthew 23:37 ...how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! (a parable which means how long will God intervene in the affairs of the isrealites supernaturally or otherwise as he did in the old testament). So, miracles, signs and wonders wasn't meant to last forever, only love which is greater than miracles was meant to last forever. we believe in Christ for eternal life, nothing more. John 3:16. Life is more important blessing than supernatural interventions. We just keep seeking for more like Oliver twist, we will never get anything but life. whatever we do with the life that we receive will now determine our blessing. the fact that Christianity is the largest religion currently on earth is enough proof of God's existence. 1 Like |

We are not christians because we see proofs... In fact, most times if not most times we all sometimes feel as though God is not there when we consider things we go through. We are Christians because we BELIEVE God saved us through Christ. Christ said "In this world you will face tribulations... But rejoice fpr i have overcome the world" I have been healed miraculously of so many things e.g 3 years ago i was miraculously healed of a kidney problem and i can count so many more... That is not what makes me believe in God. I WILL STILL BELIEVE EVEN IF THE KIDNEY PROBLEM HAD TAKEN ME TO THE PATH OF DEATH!!! That is the way of a Believer. As a muslim do not be offended by Op's question - A muslim friend once told me that no one knows the perfect religion because we all are mostly Christian or Muslim because we were born into a christian/muslim families... He was right about it for me then until I sat back and decided what and who to believe... I have seen even muslims pray and experience miracles and i have a lot as friends...It is all about your personal conviction NB: I am not a fanatic and the above is my personal Opinion. Even the United states, Britain, China and other developed nations who don't have the kind of problems found in Africa, they all have their problems that require God's intervention. That's why, the only thing we can do is just to pray. But when we pray, pray, pray and there are no answers do we blame God? The answer is no! Let's look at it this way, there was a time when the church used to teach people that the earth is flat, a lot of people believed that error and that is brainwashing but that didn't take long before the truth came out. CaveAdullam: God is someone or something that is particularly revered, worship, admired, idealised and/or followed. God is that sense could be anything in as much more value is added to it. Eg, money: the God of ages. In all sides, the above definition is a about a 'thing or person' called God which is within existence, caused or created. Tell us about how your own God is caused, came into existence or created? Where did he get the material needed for his creations? Where was he before he created heaven and earth? CaveAdullam: Yes. You are telling us that creation is a prove that God does exist. It is now your duty to explain to us how your own God came into existence. Was He also created by a SUPER-God? CaveAdullam: People in Nepal, Russia and surrounding countries believe there is a monsterious creation living on Mount Everest. They have used footprints, scraps, hair and other unexplainable stuff found on the mountain to justify their claims. Alot of researchers have worked on unravelling this msystery many years ago. However, the conclusion on these investugations havent stopped these folks from either worshipping Yeti or believing a Ape-Man figure lives on the Mountain. The point here is that the fictional figure doesnt exist, and it does have a name. At least with the dictionary meaning God exists be it a thing or a person. The book is strict concerning this meaning and we must abide by it if we truly believe it words. The book didn't affirms God as a non existing figure but is very sure that He is either a thing, person, spirit or being. FOLYKAZE:It does not give me a problem except for you and your colleagues that deals with gross matters. How come did the dictionary came up with the two words uncreated and eternal? Is there really anything like this? Who/what can be uncreated and eternal? or is the dictionary not sure about itself or a liar? FOLYKAZE:God is an uncreated and eternal being. According to the dictionary He can be a spirit or being. And if you crosscheck your dictionary very well you will see striking qualities that made acquired that feat.
