Big congratulations to you bro... I wish to congratulate everyone who has been admitted into MBBS/BDS most especially DrAuthentic, Horpeyemi, Acecube et al.. you guys won the good fight of faith. I wish u all a safe flight through med sch.....

OK.... with 100l done and dusted, and preclinicals in sight, guys I need your help... confused on the texts to use for MB... pls u guys should recommend straight and concise texts for anatomy, physiology and biochemistry for a beginner like me... also don't know which is better:

Anatomy: Keith Moore vs Last vs Greys
Physiology: Guyton vs Ganong vs Sembulingam
Biochemistry: Vasudevan vs chatterjea
Histology: Junqueira vs Vasudevan vs Wheaters

PS: I'm the type that don't really like voluminous books cos I like repetitive reading..
Thanks In anticipation, your boy is ever loyal..
cc: thewhizzkid, donpre, Maravel et al.

Thanks, Egbon. Bless us with stuffs we need oo. Scholarship, everything

All you need is motivation. Modern biology remains the best for me. However, you can use Essential biology to build up your interest then, go back to modern biology.

And talking about finishing it in a month, it depends on your pace and commitment

Hey...

All you need is MOTIVATION as said above.

I know you're considering time factor. But you should have started preparations early.

But believe bro, I bet you can finish modern biology within now and the exams if you put in efforts else I recommend Essential Biology.

Though personally I relate well with modern biology than essential.

if you are serious yes.. understanding biology is more of repetition and space repetition, consolidating it with p&q..don't be surprise even when you finish the biology, you still can't score up to 70 p&q...
in biology you shoot with repetition and p&q

I once asked the same question couple of days ago (lol). Hmmm... If you would like to finish in a month or less, you must modify your daily routine and I wouldn't stop emphasizing on a boosting rocket. Got it?

essential biology plus explicit biology should do.
What essential does not have, explicit does and vice versa
Both books are easy to read and u can cover both in a month
This your depression stuff,I don't understand it
Is it that you wanted medicine but got engineering?
If that is the case I advise you focus more on your jamb.
I had a similar case too last year but I didn't accept the admission in my case,I rewrote jamb instead.

for the four subject?..nah
though everyone has different pace of assimilation..some use 4hr consistently to cover a particular subject for a month ,while some less or high..3 month to go, create more time for your studies..

Lol, I guess you took the decision due to pressurization or perhaps, tired of staying at home. I can say 80% of Medical students didn't make it once. Even some brilliant fellows, after 3rd jamb or more.

Ordinary people honour Medics for intelligence while The Wise ones honour Medics for been resilient during school days. I believe, I would be honoured like this someday.

I can imagine the pressure.
But focus more on your jamb and getting into Med school.
As for the explicit biology, like I said,it depends on the location.
But if you still can't find it, essential is okay to use
