I am not. I own my own home. But growing up, I experienced these things. Sometimes people take a hard fall financially and in spite of their best intentions, they come to a point where they cant meet their financial obligations. That said, a few tenants have been known to be unnecessarily stubborn so yeah, life is an interesting mix of all sorts of people.

If he breaks the door, get a carpenter to remove the entire entrance door

If it's iron door, get a welder to remove the hinges and take the door that he has damaged, claiming that you took it for repairs

If he is still defiant, pack your load and his load out to the corridor, get a mason to start doing slow renovation of the house

This is dry season and rain won't beat your properties
