Na the reason why the holy-holy northerners in power wan deal with am by force. They see him as a miscreant.

Saw a video recently of him with his goons as one of them beats the shaking b.are pantless nak.ed but.ts of a girl in a club with other pant-wearing girls.

Leave Marley alone, and focus on your destiny.

Leave him and his style of music alone. Every artiste has what works for him/her.

The title does not correlate to the write-up. I wanted to see how his image fits in with the Nigerian youth. All I saw was a long winded description of the guy and his career. Nigerian writers are losing it.

Honestly he doesn’t represent the educated Nigerian youth. He instead personifies the illiterate and downtrodden. Those have no hope for tomorrow and focus on living today to the fullest, hence heavily consuming marijuana during times they could spend thinking up a business idea.
Sadly, the uneducated are more. Hence, the large chunk he used.

I can understand you not listening to naija music, i only listen to a few Nigerian rappers. But, what i don't understand is why you don't watch football.

You write your own let's see, Wole Soyinka.

OP says he's a writer and as such must write properly - obeying rules in writing. He wrote poorly and I - someone who gets paid for writing articles in a scientific magazine - points out his errors. In anything one does, it must be done properly. He's a writer, he must write well. No room for mediocrity.

That's how one of his fan was arguing with me the other day, i swear Nigerian youths have totally lost it, they are so useless like useless, i don't know maybe its the current state of economy that is messing with them or they are just stupid by default.

Believe me you are more useless than all the Nigerian youths.

How can you generalise and say all "Nigerian youth".

Leaders who don't provide good schools, good hospitals, good roads, and instead steal all the money... are they the ones who should be complaining about the youths that they raised?

But seriously, every generation since Plato has complained about the deterioration of morals in the youths.
Imagine what Nigerian parents were saying about those 1960's highlife kids who just want to dance and drink and hang out in music joints. Then another generation complained about the kids of the disco 70's who just wanted to dance and smoke. Then they complained about those kids in 80's who just want to breakdance and wear jerry curls. Now those parents who danced and smoked in 60's 70's 80's are complaining about kids doing the very same thing in 2010's.

And I won't be surprised to read that Naira Marley himself complains about "kids these days" in 2040's.

Hmmm, this issue of Naira Marley can be very controversial, I don't support his modus operandi but truth be told, showbiz requires some form of stunt to distinguish yourself, I think he found the 'right way' to go about it and it's definitely working for him at the moment. Same thing Tacha is doing.

The late Da Grin towed the same path and I think if he were alive might have continued in that direction. Olamide is doing the same as well.

Nigerian youths have gone bizarre, the system has failed them and what we see today is a direct consequence of that failure, sad as it may be. These artistes understand what appeals to the youths and are doing just that.

Let's see how it all pans out but I feel sorry for the mentality of this present day youth, we are all youths but I mean the indomie generation.

It's all good.

The likes of Naira Marley will always exist, it is your job as a parent to know what your kids are watching/listening to. Blaming Naira Marley for some stupid peoples mistake is wrong, there is nothing like bad influence, if a marlian smokes weed it's not because NM smokes weed, it is because he wants to smoke weed. We should learn to stop blaming people for our misfortune.
I AM NOT A MARLIAN grin
thats a lie sir, what u just wrote is nalifying the reasons behind using celebrities as a brand ambassador.......y do companies hve increased sales when they sign a particular ambassador, people don't patronise them because they wanna they do so because the celebrity they fanning has been signed.....

While buhari, lai Muhammad, rochas, tinubu, yerima reflects the image of the elderly people in Nigeria.
Nonsense and Nigeria.
You guys haven't seen anything, this generation don't give fck about the history or whatever Nigeria stands for.
The political class think they can keep the youths down for long.
You have the right to delude yourselves until the youths learn how to use the political class for money rituals.
