I don't know how far astray you've gone, but I don't believe it too far away from where you can find your way back to your Shepherd's fold.

Just try and retrace your steps back to your Shepherd, you shall soon find Him because He'd also be looking out for you.

I know one of the hardest things is for a minister to acknowledge his wrong which is why it took a while for me to create this thread, i wish i did earlier before i became vulnerable.

But more importantly the essence of this thread is for those who have been in this position to give guidance to those of us who have now found ourselves in this rather precarious position.
It's a thin line between test and temptation.

One thing I learnt during my walk with God is to never stop praying regardless of how bad, frustrating, hopeless etc., things are. Never stop praying.

Though I have never backslided since I began walk at the level of the Spirit, because God never let me descend to that level as He has always been there just before it got to that point, the lowest i've gone in my spiritual life is the time i decided to stop praying.

It was then I really got to know the difference prayer makes in my spiritual life, as it helps prevent some unnecessary issues and reactions.

So from then on I decided that no matter what, that i would not stop praying, and that's what I have been doing since then and it's helped me a lot. Because even when I don't feel like praying, and don't even believe in the prayer I was praying, when I start and keep going, at some point in the prayer i would notice that everything would just turn around and become completely different from the time I started.

So at end of the prayer, the prayer would have helped me with the strength i needed which I didn't have before I began to pray.

And fasting also helps as well, and it recently helped a bro here where prayer alone couldn't help him, so I would suggest that to you as well.

I realise my spiritual drought started with downward spiral in my prayer as I perceived God had answered my prayers already by Faith after about a year of consistency. So I decided to relax. Unfortunately, that was my mistake. Even though God had answered, my prayer life should be consistent.

I did not refer you to go to an organised church to become a good Christian, I simply pointed you the words of Christ and His disciples which we hold on to as God's eternal Word which is able to save our souls.

2. Understand Grace. When you truly understand the place of grace in your christian life and submit to it, you will be amazed how your life will turn around. Stop trying to do it by efforts or activities.
3. Be patient with yourself

No he didn't. He simply rehashed what your pastors and motivational speakers spew which has no true substance to it.

According to Jesus Christ, the only way to obtaining and keeping the Spirit is to abide in Him and this through obedience of His teachings and commandments. God is law and one thing God will never do is violate His own law. He is a faithful God, keeping to the terms and agreements of the Covenant, Jesus Christ, which He has made with each one of us, and in return, He expects that those who will be His, will do the very same, declaring that those who love Him are those who keep His commandments.

Anyone experiencing "spiritual dryness" does not have Jesus Christ living on the inside of them but instead comments on the state of his own spirit(man).
* The only way to come to God is through your obedience.
* The only way to free yourself from slavery for sin is through your continued obedience.
* The only way to abide in or remain in God is through your obedience.
* The only way for Jesus Christ to live/ abide in you is through your contninued obedience.
* The only way for the Spirit of God to live in/ abide in you is through your continued obedience

There is no other way because Jesus Christ is the only way and it is only by accepting (trusting) and obeying His teachings and commandments (Truth) that you fulfill the terms and conditions of the contract you have through Him, with God.

Obedience, not prayer, is the Key to God.
