Wow really learning what about China bro help me compare the revenue

China is an industrial nation. They don't produce enough oil...so they import. Most of their revenue comes from industrial exports.

And it's still an Arab s***hole full of human trafficking, slavery, and prostitution. I'm not impressed by what they've done through oil money, slavery, and all their assorted depravity.

It's like Russia. Russia has a good military, but it's full of poverty, alcoholism, domestic violence, prostitution, and people desperate to leave.

What's the value of this when most people there are suffering? What's the value of this when the general population will never achieve a good lifestyle?

East Asia has a lot of problems, but at least they're working towards improving the lifestyle of the entire population. In China, they're even willing to execute corrupt politicians and use force to make people work for the greater good.

I really don't like hearing about Arabs. And I don't see how any black man or woman can praise those people given what we all know about them. And what's so special about them buying existing tech from whites, with oil money?

Let's look at what people are doing in Africa, thanks. Let's look at what the youth are doing and how it will shape the future. Let's look at real innovation and clever uses of technology happening on African soil.

I know APC has failed.....

But let's not forget

UAE produces 2.5 million barrels per day , and shares the revenue among 11 million people
Nigeria produces 2.2 million barrels per day, and shares the revenue among 200million people.

So for Nigeria to be like UAE

Either our population goes down to less than 10 million OR

We pursure polices that get us off dependency on oil......

Simples.

Come on now. Nigeria has a lot more than oil, oga. There's no dependency issue. It's a matter of politics and a bunch of foreigners trying to stick their hands in Nigeria's pockets or interfere in its government.

Let's not pretend like African countries fight the same battle as others.

You are wrong, the people sharing Nigeria's crude oil wealth are less than 100,000 people.

Nigeria's problem is the race; black race are so wicked, unorganised and shameless. There is a fundamental problem with the black race.

It's because the whites now cherish their witches and wizards grin, they even have their day in the calendar year. I believe the whites engage with their witches for curiosity and exploration purposes.

Just have a look at what we do to our own witches, we kill or maim them and you wonder why they are so ferocious in dealing with you. grin

Sir, where in the post is the comparison? And so what if there was a comparison? Are the people in Dubai spirits? Don't we also have oil that they developed the place with?

The technology is not difficult. The Lekki toll gate already has an e-tag system that allows for drive through. The lekki - ikoyi bridge goes cashless on 1 January 2020.

More at issue is the supporting infrastructure that allows for penalties for offending drive through vehicles. You can bet that if there is a bvn linked database tied to licence registration people will scream blue murder. The main resistance to tech adoption is not the technology itself but human behaviour.

So in the interim it will be etag plus automatic barrier control - not drive through. We are getting there.

No offense my brother and please don't take it personal.
You did mention our population and I want you to compare Chinese population and tell me which city in Nigeria that is better than any city in China with their population almost x5 of Nigeria they never lack behind in development.

I really don't know much but I don't think our population has anything to do with the poor development of our country, except if the money that were supposed to be used to develop our country was shared among us of which I don't think it was shared since I've not received any. Nobody is saying the government should start sharing money to us but to use our money and develop Nigeria, make Nigeria beautiful like other countries.
This is not about APC or PDP the government generally has failed, they keep pocketing our money.

The comparison is getting too frequent, maybe you are not following as the guy up has said. At times they will even compare how children eat in class and how children eat at school in Kano.

Don’t forget UAE is no longer dependent on oil anymore. Nigeria could have done the same over years by using oil revenue to develop other sectors until we no longer have to depend on oil again

Besides Population should be to our advantage. Ask US, China and India

Nigeria suppose to be the biggest market in Africa just like China because of our population strength. Our main problem is no corruption, it is leadership problem

I was looking for the gates in Dubai's tollgates...which tells me that the use of gates in Nigeria is quite archaic. I hope those planning to reintroduce tollgates have seen in the ones in Dubai that the people must not suffer before the government generates revenues.

Isn't that what the UAE are already doing. They gradually developed Dubai into the commercial capital of planet earth in a bid to avoid over dependence on a commodity that will run out of supply eventually. In Dubai it's commerce, in Europe it's sports and manufacturing, think of how much money TV rights earn those European countries just from soccer alone and you'll see we have a long way to go. Population explosion represents a small aspect of our problem if indeed those figures are true, corruption and greed are at the fore front. Did you know that there are more people in China than there are in all of africa? Yet, China is doing just fine. The secret; good governance, strict compliance to the rule of law, and a dynamic economy that is steadily being diversified.
