It's no longer news, that Engr. Sarki Auwalu is ready to work with the existing directors of departments. The decision to resign as Head, Cooperate Service entirely depend on Shakur himself as the substantial DG has no issue with it at least for now. If Shakur is not resigning from service, then he may as well not resign as the head, corporate services. He has proven to be excellent at the job.

However, let's see what unfold in the coming week. What we should be considering is if he may be posted to head the North East Zonal office or maintain his current position. As of the website, Cooperate Service has never been placed on the website.

I learnt list of successful candidates for the 2nd batch where composed and shortlisted before the retirement of the former Director Baba Ladan.

The issue here is, was those shortlisted names approved by the DPR management before his exit/retirement?

Genuine response to this question will give us a clue if this new director will discard and REPLACE the already shortlisted names by the former Director or he will just add to it. Xtruzz, Marvel68 Tammiwwt, I will appreciate if you or ANYONE can possibly respond please.

I will sure apply sister. What I know is I will go out with my all to buy slot and enter. That's what the 2016 recruitment taught me. If you have a strong contact use it to get the job otherwise get the job with your money and prayers. That's All. Again, it doesn't make sense at all that the people you applied with and pass through all the recruitment got their APLs since July last year and we are here waiting for the second list. To me it doesn't make sense at all and I personally concluded that no second list is coming out again.

I know someone who had a 87% in test and 92% in interview and wasn't called last year July. He was telling me that had he known, he would have used connection (apparently, he knows someone in Corporate Service and the person is a pastor in his church); he was thinking he should be able to get it on merit with such a high score but alas DPR did otherwise. lol

Understandably, everybody is tired of waiting for the second list. And with d new leadership of d dept, it further creates doubts in d minds of hopefuls.

You will enjoy being a DPR staff when you become a senior staff/Management staff. I think they enjoy far better than Chevron staff sef.

thank God he has blessed you to see that. I'm sure merit had the right definition in this place you've now joined. Congrats Polchiz. I will always maintain, there is no reason in God''s green earth why anyone shd bother even applying for any of these 'slot' jobs. Merit means nothing there. God bless the private sector.

ha good lawd, such jobs dey well. Only thing is you have to be good enough on paper and in person to get in. If you merit am, you will get in. I can loudly testify to that. Not all these pathetic crinkum crankum. I have only ever applied for two govt jobs, NLNG (2013) and DPR (2016). It didn't take long at all for me to see that both were shams. Maybe in some more years errone will also know better.

Since the appointment of the new director, Shakur hasn’t reported to the Head office from Abuja. The new director called for an emergency meeting and observed that Shakur was absent.
He was upset and called Shakur to tell him that he’s the new boss and should report ASAP.
Sarki was the 16th ranked DPR officer before his appointment. Shakur and Sarki never had a good working relationship.
The new director was known for his humility and zero tolerance for corruption and incompetence. I can’t confirm if the second half of the recruitment has been suspended Shakur will have to report back to the Head Office for further actions to be taken.
Let’s wait and see.

Chai that NLNG recruitment was one of the worst recruitment I have ever had to go through after all the rigorous tests (CBT and SHL) and Assessment centre buhaha. Mehn, naija which way!

I gave up to this recruitment ever since I heard that the new director took over from Shakur.

With the way this recruitment ish is going from hand to hand. Things aren't looking good.
