I think it was a pump issue. A janitor who tried to save them said he struggled to get out of the water. This sounds like a pump issue not electrocution. Also, has it been confirmed that all 3 could swim?

I said something was fishy about the incident in the original post. I still stand by my comment that they were electrocuted by faulty wiring and the resort is trying to avoid liability by claiming drowning.

This is critically disheartening situation. May their souls rest in peace. God knows best!

There's a world of difference between being able to swim and being able to rescue drowning individuals from the pool.

Not all swimmers can rescue people from the deep side of the pool. It takes some expertise to do that.

As a Swimmer, I suspect the 9 year old girl slipped beyond her depth, and the father and the brother tried to save her; but got trapped in the process.

For instance, we use to say, in rescuing drowning individuals, do not approach them face to face. Hold them from the back. If you hold them face to face, And they can grab your neck, you won't survive it. They would hold your neck with all their strength until you suffocate to death.

Anyway, only swimmers would understand.

May God give you, woman, the fortitude to bear the loss.

Unfortunately some pools have safety issue e.g electricity current in the pool, pool drainage is too powerful that it can suck a man like how you flush a toilet. Sometimes leg cramps can be factor

On the face of it.. Looks like an accident.. 3 accidents too many

Things don't add up.
1. Why was that pool not heasdted... Whilst other pools dotted around were. Was the pool not available for use as there was a fault the resort was yet to sort out.
2. Why was it so difficult to get a lifeguard for so long..
3. The little girl struggled, then to be joined by her brother and lastly her father.. That would have been quite a few minutes, considering none could be resuscitated after CPR administration... Something quite not adding up!!!

4. the little girl's swimming cap was found by the filter.. A drag effect or sth??

5. The false news given by the resort alleging that the police authorities authorising the pool to be open to the public again when this was not true... Blame--shifting



A full and robust investigation should be carried out.

3 members of a family lost in a few minutes and nobody is taken responsibility..


Where are the CCTV recordings, any eye witnesses??
Something isn't adding up here.. Seriously




I and my friends will not be using this resort till a robust investigation is performed.

3 fataIity same place same spot. Something was wrong with that pool. I hope Spain's enforcement agencies will not be coerced by this resort to stop full scale investigation which is needed for this case. This family deserves that closure.
