Who required you to write IELTS Academic....your assessing body, agent or DHA?

As fas as I know, IELTS Academic can be used for PR and valid for 3 years.

Even PTE is PTE-A (the A stands for Academic).
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 1:34pm On Dec 30, 2019
Calm down... They may ask for it if need be though but many didn’t even write one to be in Australia. I had one but my agent didn’t submitted it to both school and immigration with the claim that it’s not a requirement form my school. In fact, in my form, he ticked No for the use of English even though I had one with 7.0.
And I know of more than 5 that finished their studies without one.
But all in all, it’s good to have it should in case.

Hello, my distinguished experts in the house, I am really worried. I applied for Australian student VISA without and EnglishTest/ Proof of English proficiency. Please I would like to know if it is a major requirement that can affect the outcome.
Awaiting your swift response

Hi, you still haven't provided response to my enquiries. I would love to know the link you cropped that image from?

"I tried to explore the PR option but was required to write the IELTS General or PTE as IELTS Academics can’t be used." Required by who?

I would also like to know if you verified this from the Immi website or it was just hearsay?

Hello ignis..... How are you? Firstly, English Proficiency requirements depends on your school. Was it a part of your admission requirements? Was English language proficiency stated in your eCoE as satisfying or NIL? If it's stated Nil, immi will definitely ask you to provide it but if it's not don't bother. I am talking from experience. If you had a full offer of admission without conditional on English Language proficiency exams, then I think you will only react if immi require English language test by writing your supervisor and graduate school for a new eCoE that will cover for your English Language proficiency. I wish you success.

Dear Louis,
Thanks for the clarification. English was not part of the admission requirement. On my admission letter, it was stated that I satisfied the English language requirement of the university, however English test may be required by the embassy for Visa.

On my CoE the only thing written about English is
"Other Forms of English Testing: Medium of Instruction"

1. I visits lots of websites daily for information. You can simply type your question on google and you’ll find the writeups from trusted migration websites.
2. I don’t comment based on them say. I do red lots of posts here but only take my time on the one I’ve experienced.
I can give you the agent organization name. In fact if you the time luxury, you can message me to organize a visit then walk you down to their office in Parramatta smiley
By the way, I would appreciate a linkup. My IELTS academics expired in May, 2019. So if I can still use it for PR as you claimed I won’t mind coming to your place if you’re in Sydney.

Lol... Sadly, you commented based on 'dem say' because your statement about Ielts Academic not suitable for PR is invalid and 'dem say'.

I'd advise you always refer to Immi website and be totally sure before being assertive on a public forum. It will also do you good to always verify some information provided by your agent.

If your IELTS has passed the 3 years validity, then you can't use it anymore; you would have to write another test.

Best of luck

You need to always read well and digest before commenting not just trying to find faults.
Normally I don’t dwell much on stuffs like this but I identified your type as one who doesn’t give out information when people required one even though you claimed to be well informed but always feed on others comments to look for a glitch without digesting. I’m off on this.

Happy new year in advance to you brother, I would still like to link up and enjoy the new year celebration with you. All bills on you smiley

Thanks for the heads up, I'll make amends if your perception of correcting a misguided info is your term for finding fault.

I'm not that informed on student visa matters which is why I don't comment here. I only visit the thread once in a while but that doesn't mean I don't understand the PR process for Australia.

Sadly, I don't live in Sydney.

Do have a lovely year ahead.

Please what's the estimation amount to pay for oshc after paying deposit for a 2 years masters degree program. Also will the oshc fee be refunded just like the tuition fee if the admission was declined?

I believe the OSHC plan fee is always stated on the admission letter. I presume you wanted asking if OSHC fee will be refunded if Visa is refused. The answer is yes.
OSHC is just like school fees, you don't pay until you have a valid admission.
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by yhemight(m): 8:06am On Dec 31, 2019
Approximately $1500, i dont know if it is refundable
