LordReed:I don't why you guys keeps forgetting that God is God and the can do what ever pleases him. If he wanted trees to fall from the sky he would so without and help from anyone. Read Isaiah 55 : 8 - 10 He can make plants grow without rain. He can also do what he wants. My food analogy follows you don't need to ask God to heal you of your headache when you can just take some tablets and relax. You can't also expect God to always interfere with nature and natural laws for you. |

LordReed:Ah, poor you. I had a Gulder with dinner. The Trophy is my second and I got 3 more chilling in the fridge for tomorrow or later tonight if thirst gets me. Products of my faith and my work, I daresay. |

LordReed:I'm not sure you actually read the scripture I included. You guys want a simple answer. But sorry the problem is not simple so the solution won't be either. I really hope you don't take such intellectual laziness to 2020. See how you even rushed and typed QED |

ABCthings: You proved your god is not to be relied on since he does as he pleases and doesn't always intervene so why are you blaming me? |
Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by ABCthings: 11:51pm On Dec 29, 2019 |
LordReed:Fallacy. God is reliable. So him making plants grow with rain is now equal to unreliability? what kind of logic is this? |
Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by LordReed(m): 7:18am On Dec 30, 2019 |
ABCthings: Your words: "you don't need to ask God to heal you of your headache when you can just take some tablets and relax. You can't also expect God to always interfere with nature and natural laws for you", proving your god is unreliable. It's not my logic, it's yours. |

LordReed:If you stop spoon feeding your child does it means you're unreliable? |
Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by LordReed(m): 10:47am On Dec 30, 2019 |
ABCthings: Yes, it means I will not reliably feed a child that can feed his or herself especially depending on how old the child is. If your god says he will not provide healing because medical science is available then he is unreliable. |

If I spoon feed a child when he was young. Then I stop spoon feeding him when he is old enough does that mean I'm unreliable? |
Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by LordReed(m): 12:57pm On Dec 30, 2019 |

LordReed:God do as he wish. Heaven is our goal. God has already told is that in this world we would have trouble John 16:33 And as Christians we would not always have peaceful times. Matt 24 4-14; John 15:20; 16:2 |

Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by LordReed(m): 8:27pm On Dec 30, 2019 |
ABCthings: Good so you agree your god is not to be relied on in times of danger or sickness so he indeed is unreliable. |
Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by LordReed(m): 8:30pm On Dec 30, 2019 |
vickydankal: People have happiness, joy and meaningful life without faith. The supernatural help and support doesn't seem make believers any different from unbelievers so the question is not really answered. |
Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by vickydankal(f): 9:52pm On Dec 30, 2019 |
LordReed: 1)People may have happiness I know 2)Joy is deeper than you think of you know what I mean. It comes from a supernatural source outside the physical realm. 3)i don't know between who and who you accessed as the believer and the unbeliever to draw your conclusions. Not today not tomorrow will you not find the difference between Christ followers and others, due to supernatural support and help. I have had angelic help and visitation when I was stranded. I have had supernatural healing of ulcer. |
Re: What Has Your Faith Got You That You Couldn't Have Gotten Through Secular Means? by LordReed(m): 10:27pm On Dec 30, 2019 |
vickydankal: There is no distinction between the joy you feel and the one I feel, attempting to call yours of supernatural providence is meaningless because there is no objective way to distinguish between the two. I have evaluated myself as a believer and myself an a non believer and I know for sure there is no difference. What you call supernatural support is something a non believer will call good fortune so what is the difference? Being stranded and finding help is something that happens to believers and non believers alike so what is the difference? 2 Likes 1 Share |

LordReed:If He said He will always heal us and doesn't then He will be unreliable. But there is no promise that says we would never fall sick or we would always be healed. You're wrongly accusing God. |

ABCthings: This is so simple, your god cannot provide healing or protection from danger in any reliable manner. What do you call that? |
