i wonder wht people wait till every new year to turn a new leaf or make a determined step or whatever the case may be.

It is called beginning with the lord.

As a devout Christian, beginning with the lord is the best way to start a new year.

Imagine starting the new year beside your mentor and discussing useful ideas and steps to implement those ideas.

If the crossover night is useless, people would have stopped attending. Common sense abounds, does it?

In reality, the crossover night has become a void that must be filled because most people have been raised to begin a new year with God in church. In the past, it used to be a period of reflection and prayers, our grandfathers weren't stupid as you might think. However, it has become a soulless fanfare to contribute to the the welfare of pastorpreneurs. It is a practice that must be ditched. Real pastors must teach their congregants to reflect on their own with their families and set/adjust goals together as a unit.

Finally, crossover nights at a noisy church is the easiest way to waste your time and sleep for nothing. Hearing the yearly declaration first from your useless pastor won't impact anything in your life.

Change. Stay at home tonight. Think about where you want to be at the end of the year and come up with an action plan.


Do not say I did nothing for you.

I think it's important to usher in the new year in the presence of God, if you are a Christian.

You appreciate the Lord for all he did for you in the preceding year and also commit the new year into his hands.Most importantly, you are recharged for a new beginning.

I came online to make this exact tread. But thank God this poster is here b4 me. It's good to observe it to appreciate & reference God, but must it be in d Church?

What I recently dislike about crossover night observing it in church is the fact that all manner of people will present especially few mins to d new year. Yahoo boys, olosho, ritualists , Muslims, toasters, robbers, rapists etc. Yet, they mostly come after d sermon or exhortation. U will even see some of them romancing right there inside d church.

Finally, even if one observes cross over night on Bishop's sit inside d altar, if hell die in d new year or suffer calamities it'll still happen.

If u are a regular & committed church goer & d cross over doesn't meet u doing evil or in a place DT do not glorify God, then to me, crossover night service is not necessary
