I thought I quoted blueelf post on Liverpool doing the Lord's work today against Sheffield..

We have won just 12 of our 26 games between January and February under Klopp

..If it doesn't repeat itself this time, then the title is secured grin
I never took that to mean your fanhood allegiance though.

Yes you might have won less than half of your games between January and February under klopp but you are still yet to Lose any while also considering the fact that it's a 6 points gap with 2 winnable game in hand to make it 12 points.

Your first tittle in the EPL era is already a wrap my brother

End Of Year Stat Awards : Leicester's Ndidi Beats Manchester United Fullback To Award

Celebrated football statistics and analysis website Squawka held their end of year stats awards on January 1 and a Nigeria international plying his trade in the English Premier League emerged one of the winners.

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was named the tackle merchant of the English top-flight, with 96 tackles won in the first half of the 2019-2020 season.

The Foxes number 25 beat Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka (92 tackles) to the accolade, while Ricardo Pereira was in third place with 71 tackles.

In other categories, Ilkay Gundogan had the most successful passes in the opposition half, Mohamed Salah most left footed goals, Wilfried Zaha most dribbles completed, James Tarkowski most headed clearances, Virgil van Dijk most touches of the ball, Kevin De Bruyne most big chances created and Sergio Aguero hit the woodwork the most.

James Maddison, Riyah Mahrez and James Ward-Prowse scored the most goals from outside the box, Marcus Rashford and Jamie Vardy tied for the most fast break goals, while David Silva and Riyad Mahrez were the best when it came to most second assists.

Ndidi produced an exquisite assist, his first of the season, as Leicester City thrashed Newcastle United 3-0 on New Year's Day.

The former Racing Genk starlet has been named top tackler in the Premier League for two consecutive seasons.

UEFA's Fifty For The Future : Arsenal Super Kid Saka Makes List

The official website of UEFA has published a list of fifty youngsters expected to be household names by this time in 2021, and only one player of Nigerian descent was worthy to be selected in the prestigious list.

Bukayo Saka was recognized thanks to his brilliant performances for Arsenal in this season's Premier League and Europa League.

The other Premier League starlets that made the cut include Mason Greenwood (Manchester United), Reece James (Chelsea), Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) and Troy Parrott (Tottenham).

On Saka, they wrote : "In September, at 18 years and 14 days old, winger Saka became Arsenal's youngest European scorer since Aaron Ramsey in 2008."

A Hale End Academy graduate, Saka made his first team debut against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League on November 29, 2018, becoming the fifteenth youngest player to debut for Arsenal aged 17 years, 2 months and 24 days.

A winger by trade, the versatile Saka has been deployed at left-back in his last five matches for Arsenal in the Premier league, including yesterday's win against Manchester United.

Serbian side Partizan Belgrade have rejected a bid of 6 million Euros for their 22 year old Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar who is on loan from Italian Serie A side Roma, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Partizan have already made it known to Roma that they will be taken up the option of signing the striker permanently at the end of his loan deal for the agreed sum of €1.6m. A deal they could complete this January if they so wish.

Sadiq who has 16 goals this season with 11 coming in the league and five in the Europa League is the primary target of coach Rudi Garcia of Lyon in this January to strengthen his attack. Garcia gave him his breakthrough at Roma as an 18 year old in 2016.

Lyon’s opening offer of 6 million euros was rejected by Partizan who are keen on keeping him till the summer as he is their only recognised forward at the moment. They also want double the amount that Lyon are offering.

Their demands means Laliga side Real Sociedad are now the odds on favorite to land the lanky forward as they have discussed terms with his representatives over a deal in the summer and not in January. They are reportedly willing to meet Partizan’s valuation of the forward who finished as top scorer for the Nigerian team at Rio 2016.

There is no need to rush, he should wait till summer, he will get a better deal

Official : Versatile Nigerian Midfielder Signs New Wolverhampton Wanderers Deal

Versatile Nigerian midfielder Owen Otasowie has ended speculation about his future by signing a new deal with Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves confirmed through their official website on New Year's Day that Otasowie has put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half-year deal with the club after impressing at both under-23 and senior level this season.

The 18-year-old could remain at the Molineux until the end of the 2022-2023 season if Wolves exercise their option for a further year.

"Over the past months, I think it is clear to see that Owen has the potential to be a very good player and we have been pleased with his recent attitude and application," Wolves Sporting director Kevin Thelwell said.

"He’s a player who has recognised the importance of being professional, working hard, and with all the technical ability and physical potential he has, it’s now starting to come to fruition.

"We hope Owen can maintain his recent progress to continue to grow into another Academy graduate that will challenge for first-team football both now and in the future."

Otasowie made his professional debut against Besiktas in a Europa League game last month and was a non-playing substitute for Premier League meetings against Sheffield United, Liverpool and Watford, and the visit to Sporting de Braga.

Peter Etebo's Stoke City exit is set to be confirmed as he joins Getafe on loan with a purchase option.

The 24-year-old Nigeria midfielder was a prominent player under Nathan Jones but fell out of favour when Michael O'Neill took charge in November. He recovered from injury but there was a hint that he had not done enough in training to warrant selection.

He had not played for Stoke since limping out of a defeat at Sheffield Wednesday in October and is now understood to be waiting for a visa to complete his move to Spain.

It is not likely to be rushed through in time so he could face Real Madrid on Saturday but Getafe hope he will be involved in the cup against Badalona the following weekend.

Etebo was lined up by Stoke before the appointment of Gary Rowett and he joined from Feirense in Portugal for £6.3m in the summer of 2018. He had previously spent time on loan at Las Palmas.

He gradually worked his way into Rowett's first team plans but was sent off in a 2-1 win over Derby in November and only made one more Championship start before Rowett was replaced by Jones.

His first goal came in March in a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest and he added a second in a 1-0 win at Blackburn Rovers.

A busy summer of international duty - helping Nigeria reach the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals - meant he missed the bulk of pre-season and he did not make his first league start of this term until August 24 and a 3-0 defeat to Leeds.

O'Neill said last month: "Peter came back after, I think, four weeks out. When I came to the club, Peter was injured. He’d come back from international duty and been injured. So that was far from ideal.

"His training has been ok, it’s been no better than ok, so that’s important.

"There’s no guarantee that anyone comes back and we put them straight in the team."
I am so happy for this news!
I do hope Iheanacho and Isaac Success will seek a move to Spain also.

Tottenham Hotspur have been put off by Queens Park Rangers' valuation of their playmaker Eberechi Eze.

According to the Daily Express, the Championship club have demanded 20 million pounds (approximately N9.3 billion in Nigerian currency) for the attacking midfielder, but the cost of signing the player has been deemed too high by Spurs.

Chelsea, Leicester City and West Ham are among the Premier League clubs monitoring the situation of Eze, who comes off contract with Queens Park Rangers at the end of next season.

Eze has impressed in the Championship this term and took his tally for the season to ten goals as QPR thrashed Cardiff City on New Year's Day.

The 21-year-old is one of the creative players in the Rangers squad, producing six assists in his 26 appearances in the English second-tier.

Apart from a brief loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers during the 2017-2018 season, Eze has played nonstop at Queens Park Rangers since the summer of 2016, after he was released by Millwall.

If Tottenham want to replace Eriksen they should go for Eze

But I doubt if Eze is a Mourinho type of player

Exactly

Because I did criticize ARTETA for our Chelsea loss when he pulled out OZIL while also bringing on PEPE on the 84th minutes.

But he quickly adjusted against Manchester United by leaving OZIL throughout and started PEPE instead with an immediate substitution when he began fumbling.

All marked the game reading ability of ARTETA as if he was reading this thread

Allardyce is still available!!!
