I don't see how that's poor. They get free accommodation (barracks), kids of military parents in schools like command pay about 12k per term compared to 75k and above paid by civilian parents. Free medicals and lots more.. so how is that salary small? It's even too much if you ask me..

Looking at Nigeria in perspective, it's unworthy to join any of the armed forces. A country that has no relevance is not worth staking one's life for. Even if they pay 500k/week, I won't still join any of the armed forces.

your assertion is not entirely true, apart of free accommodation the health you talk about is as a result of NHIS which some other federal agencies also benefit from it. On cars I don't see how they get access to cheap cars except cars with incomplete papers that a seller is in a haste to sell, a military personnel can buy such cars at a cheaper rate and use it without acquiring the requisite papers which is also a risk
