Owerri would NEVER HAVE DEVELOPED, if it didn't have the surface water supply system built by Mbakwe since 1982 till 2010. Ihedioha is now putting finishing touches to reviving that Owerri public water supply system.

Ihedioha has a deep seated flaw: he plans for development of only his Owerri senatorial zone.

In Imo state, during the military govts, Owerri cornered all the 6 tertiary education institutions in Imo state for Owerri, no consideration for Orlu area.
