Had it been the plane was inbound I would have given them the benefit of doubt, but... outbound?
A plane that took off from their own airspace (Tehran) at low altitude and low speed was mistook for a hostile?
Are you telling me they didn't know what they were doing? Like who is that dumb to fall for that lame excuse?

To crown it up, they were denying it for days now, and even polished up the crash site to make forensics difficult as well as blocking access to the black box initially. If not that the whole thing was caught on sat nav and Videos, they would have kept on denying it.
