Hold power button and volume up, that should take you to recover mode, from there you can factory reset.

Good morning, guys.

Please, I need your advice, as I'm getting a bit worried.
I have been buying stuff from AliExpress since 2013 without issues.
In November, I made an order for a friend who stays in a different state. Ordered redmi note8 and a Bluetooth earpiece. I have to also state that I used standard shipping.

She received the earpiece on the 18th of December, but up till now, no calls about the phone. Tracking only shows that the phone was dispatched to Nigeria on the 5th of December.
I made both orders on the 15th of November, and in a few days it will be two months since I made the order.

Please, guys, what should I do at this point? Wait for 27th and contact their support as they stated on the order page, or is there any measures I can take.

Thanks, people.

It's too early to de throw jabs o. Na Sunday morning o..

And what it with this boot loops today?

Vower, maybe it's a factory defect or the splashed water got inside the phone somehow! I don't take my phone close to the bathroom door let alone inside while bathing! I can't go through the aftermath trauma!!

There is nothing you can do, wait for the protection purchase period to be over then open a dispute so you can be refunded.

Wait it out!
If you/your client have the patience, you can wait a week more after the deadline, otherwise, open a dispute! But what's the last date the phone tracking was updated?

When the technician takes a look @ it he'll replace with the appropriate one. I did this on my redmi note 2.
Alternatively you can order for the complete charging board and replace.
Modified.
If you're going to Mtn ask of (amed or Hamed) he stays in a small container along the express way before mtn's office if your coming from elenwo junction. He's very good.

Started ke? Because of one isolated case. Uncle go and buy Realme
this is what I'm talking about, ones someone just say something bad about xiaomi you guys just get triggered like they pay you. Bro I didn't say that because of my phone,I've been monitoring realme and xiaomi's specs lately, realme has been matching xiaomi's specs for lower price. Reason I still stick with xiaomi is because it's the brand I've been using since,I felt yes I can trust their products and because I prefer their miui to colour is.

Sorry for this experience of yours. I'm happy this isn't your first Xiaomi device and this will prolly be your 1st experience of a probable factory defective device.

I believe why people are not that supportive on this case is the history of the incident and your choice of words like blaming it on the manufacturer. The thing is, you can't absorb yourself of the blame here! A splashed water can hit anywhere on the phone and it is different from a drop/touch of water!

With the ghost touch you're experiencing now, I'm convinced the whole ish is coming from the splashed water not a factory defect. I might be wrong though and you should see to the end of the dispute. I'm not sure AliExpress will wait till item is received before refunding you; worst case is partial refund if they buy your claim.

One thing is certain, if you made mention of the splashed water scenario while given them history of issue, your dispute won't see the light of the day!

As per seeing people here as always having contrary opinion to complaints regarding Xiaomi devices, it depends on how the complaints were tabled, choice of words used, individual interpretation and the likes. But you know your notion of them being always defensive is not true (at least on this).

I wish you all the best. Either realme or Redmi or Sammy, a device not tagged as water/splash resistant should not be taken close to water/liquids. This is where I think you erred, but that's strictly my opinion and don't take it personally.

Well said Oga jboixxx, if he had mentioned water coming in contact with the phone, the dispute would have been thrown out. If a phone is not officially IP rated, don't blame the manufacturer if you fail to need to the warning.

even if a phone has water/splash resistance ratings, resist from reaching that scenario. Water damages are not entertained unto warranty claims for such devices self cauz lotta factors will remain unknown to the manufacturer which buyers will most likely conceal while reporting

even if e get ip rating, water damage claim will not be entertained still, i wonder why e no mention the water splash during dispute since he is showing a tight and upright moral prowess here
