When I see these sort of statistics, I just wonder why some people prefer to split this country up into little Sierra Leones and Gambias - small small local champions that are irrelevant in the larger scheme of things. As a single unit, Nigeria is a top nation anywhere anytime, and will get more so in the future.

If not for our corrupt leaders we know the good accolade we Nigerians deserve but because greed among them we couldn't grow but I know God will surely disgrace those that don't want Nigeria to be a better country.

which part of Nigeria?because the last time I checked the north have preoccupied their selves with boko haram, banditory, herdsmen and kidnapping so I don't think they have time for technology, the most hated tribe is the only reason will still mention one Nigeria.

At least, we've seen another weapon to add to our arsenal of things we're than South Africa at.

Under buhari that the wailers and looters called illiterate, we are breaking grounds and barriers in all fronts. Making steady and identifiable growths in our socioeconomic base as a nation, strengthening our security architecture, building infrastructure like never before, building a robust foreign policy, utilising information technology in governance more than ever before such as; IPPIS, BVN, TSA, efficiency units etc. Please, if these are the achievements that illiterates make whenever they are at the helms of leadership, may we continue to have and inherit such in our country in years ahead.

If people are deceiving us, we should not trick ourselves. Nigeeia leading in technology when policing is not supported without it. No database for population. No reliable database for immigration. You are always asked for your details to renew driver license. Electricity supply is poor. Archaic rail system. Election is not electronic. Stealing is still easy in public offices. Except for banking and oil drilling, what else has our tech backed up? Wake up youths! Wake up Nigeria!

Appreciate the ones achieved. After all if they give you electricity now, you will still complain that they have not build a village hot for your grand parents.

the problem with your likes is that you think employment is only when you are employed by government. My friend, once you have something you are doing that gives you income, no matter how small, you are employed. Underemployment is another issue altogether. Check the meaning of employment and unemployment.

Where are you getting to without electricity? Do you know what a server is? How do you keep a server running 247 365 days?

People like you can only see negatives in the country especially when an issue does not suit your narratives. In case you missed the meaning of what they are saying, it simply means that irrespective of all those things you listed, what we have in Nigeria is still superior to what other African countries have. They haven't said that every aspect of our Tech is good, but that we are still better than other African countries. That's the summary.

Sense of entitlement kill you there. Sit down and be waiting for government intervention lazy man

You know nothing. There is nothing like sense of entitlement in what he said. If Mark Zuckerberg were to be a Nigerian in Nigeria he would fail. You are simply not aware of what the government must put in place for tech development.

Yahoo hubs you mean.

Look at a shameless loafer like you. Your mates and even your juniors are in Yaba and other tech hubs developing new digital technologies that are drawing the likes of Mark Zuckerburg to Yaba, and attracting millions of dollars in international investor funding, while a loafer like you can only scorn from your wretched basement. Don't go and find a way to contribute to society, you hear? Lowlife.

Nigerians, appreciate progress for once na. Zuckerberg and Dorsey's visits are an acknowledgement of the progress we've made in the space.

There is still lots to be done particularly electricity but that is not to say progress isn't being made.
