Hello mamas Pls what can I use to deworm my son he's 1yr 9months. Also if there's any drug I can give him so he can be eating more cos he doesn't like to eat food all he eats is rice, beans, custard, quaker oat, corn flakes, tea and plenty biscuits, cake, mirinda etc and he poos twice daily. Maybe there's something am not doing right cos am confused imagine how I feel when I see other pples children eating food as if it's going out of fashion and looking chubby while mine who was chubby as an infant looking slim now as a toddler. Sorry for d long post it's just that am pained gan |

prettymaxy: If food can make someone fat, my son would be fattest. I call him dustbin cos everything goes, he is also 1 year 9months. Note that he wasn't always like that, at a point all he took was pap but I kept trying and giving. What does he weigh? That should matter more. My son take all manners of fruits and veggies cos I try to be intentional about his meals but he isn't chubby, last I checked he was about 12kg or 13kg. Feed your child to be healthy, not chubby. Keep trying things. Fried plantain, swallow, potatoes, eggs, avocado, bananas etc. 3 Likes |

prettymaxy have you tried feeding him before he takes those snacks? Snacks fill some people's belly up such that they are unable to then eat solid meals. Then, if you can get him to start eating swallows (not wheat) and soup, you don win be that cos swallows are heavy with calories. rvpbae ,pls don't call my boy 'dustbin' Fruits and vegetables doesn't make children chubby. It just keeps them very healthy. Issnor his fault Or it's too much play that keeps him the way he is . Well done o jare. 2 Likes |

prettymaxy: I think he's just a picky eater. Also kids tend to lose weight the moment they start walking. At least he eats rice, beans and oats...Maybe you can increase his feeding ration and napping time so his body can recoup the energy that he expended by running around. Also being chubby is not a sure sign of being very healthy. 1 Like |

Gloriousheart: Lol. The only time my son is calm is when he is sleeping and eating. The boy is always doing something, very busy somebody. So I don't expect a chubby kid and I guess that's why he is always eating as he burns food fast thru play. |

Mums would you reccomend electric or manual breast pump? I’ve heard some people say manual is better as electricity near the breast is not good/healthy. But I’ve heard electric breast pump is faster and more efficient. Which one? |

olabrinks:What i use is a haakaa silicon breast pump.I just suction it on my nipples while baby feeds on the other one.In 15 mins of feeding her (not like my breast flows so much sef),i get about 50ml of breast milk to store up for her night . You can watch YouTube videos to see how it's used.I have been enjoying mine. 1 Like |

omalichay:My daughter had jaundice too, we were discharged but it took 6 weeks for her eyes to clear, I kept taking her back to the hospital and the doctor kept assuring us the level is low and it will clear with time. Now she is a perfectly healthy and active 14 months old. If you are sooo bothered take her back to the hospital for followup test. |

Hi mama, the eyes takes time to clear, we were discharged after two days of phototherapy but was advised to do sun bath which we did for two weeks yet the eyes didn’t clear till she got to 5 weeks. So I’ll suggest you put baby under sun for about 20mins everyday, it will clear or go back to hospital for further evaluation omalichay: |
