I appreciate people opinion. God bless the person who opened this thread. In conclusion, we have to choose between Hustle and Studies. Griffith ,NCI is for studies while DBS , DIT is for hustlers like us.

Make wise decision guys

They have no Information about anything.

Don't let the Ac environment fool u that they know what they are doing, since u are not paying them they feel u don't have any right over them and they are free to misbehave.

Whatsoever they tell u do well to double check before doing it

Good day everyone. It's good to see the goods news of visa issued have started rolling in. To those that were denied, please appeal ASAP (cost of your first appeal is covered by the visa payment). I've been offline for a while, I had to Take time off to finish up my assignments and write my exams. Thank God first semester has ended, unto the next one. For those yet to arrive here is a list of stuffs i think would be helpful

1. First thing to buy when you land is a good jacket. I'll suggest you buy here since it's their weather and they know what needs to be done to keep you warm.
2. Hold enough money. Yes you'll get a job if you plan to, but it's not immediate. There are documentations you need to do before you can be allowed to work. Meanwhile you'll need money to run your daily life. It's no longer news that Dublin is expensive, you do not want to be stranded here. In my case it took two months before I started work (it's just a guideline, yours could be earlier or later)
3. Apply for your GNIB and PPS appointments ASAP
4. When you finally start working make sure you put your academics first. I see lots of people, especially Indians, miss classes because of work. They tend to struggle during the course and end up with bad grades, except you're a genius sha. Bad grades leads to difficulty in getting a good job after. Studies first.
5. When you resume classes pay attention. Trust me the attention you give in the first few classes will determine how well you'll be settled in the course. It would help you get a good understanding of what the course is about. Trust me, you need this
6. Try to come with plenty food stuffs. Like I said, Ireland is expensive especially Dublin. You do not want to add eating out to your bills. If you don't know how to cook, learn now. Lol
7. Houses are expensive but are available. Contrary to the popular believe that houses are difficult to find, they are not. You only need to look at the right places. I agree it may be difficult for first timers though. In the mean time, you can book a temporary accommodation like an hostel while you search for something permanent.
8. Ask questions. There are loads if stuffs that can make your life easier but you would not know unless you ask. Don't be shy, they say "who ask direction for road no dey miss road".

If any other thing comes to mind I'll had it. I wish everybody a safe trip and best of luck to the ones still expecting the good news . Cheers

Mehn, that number two needs to be louded. I have been in Limerick for four months now and I am still looking for work. Me that I thought immediately i get here, I will start working

If you've done your GNIB and PPS you can try registering with an agency. It's not sure banker money but it will at least pay the bills. All th3 best.

Applying to any of the EU 27 is almost 100% guaranteed, including schengen nations as a student visitor. UK visit is quite straightforward well, as a student. I'm not sure about work but think you can work in any of the EU countries with a stamp 4 Ireland Visa (someone else might want to shed more light in this as I've not personally researched on it). Visiting other counteies as a student here is easy though, it's all about money.

Bro,
Good to hear some good news, have you finish your program, what are chances of getting something or staying back..
What are the rate of applying to other countries from Ireland,is it feasible?

Hi guys, anyone here studying or studied MS Information Systems for Business Performance, UCC or MS Business Analytics, University of Limerick?

For those settled Ireland, what're the prospects for database analysts and business intelligence/analysts, please? Your responses would be duly appreciated.

Hello Everyone. Lengthy Post alert but will need your utmost input.

So I got a U.S visitor visa refusal about 6 years ago and out of anger I tore my refusal note ( ignorance or misplaced anger ).
Fast forward 2020 I have acquired travel history to U.K thrice , 2 Schengen countries and Dubai.

With the above mentioned countries, I only acknowledged my previous U.S visa refusal without them requesting for the refusal note.
I now want to do my PhD in Ireland and I noticed that I have to attach my U.S refusal note when applying for Study visa.
Please has anyone experienced this before? Do I have to go the U.S embassy to request for a refusal note or let them liaise with their fellow Irish embassy on my behalf?
Sorry for the lengthy post but I hope it makes sense and someone can come to my aid.

Firstly, I’d like to thank the creator of this forum and the many helpful contributors as well. I am writing this to serve two purposes.
1. To thank God and of course; the great people of this group also.
2. To inspire and rekindle hope in someone that may be on the verge of giving up.

Okay, I applied to Canada twice for a study permit and was refused both times. I also applied to the UK & USA for visiting visas so as to build my travel history and was again denied. I was advised by my ever-patient agent to try Ireland which I did in the middle of 2019 and was once again denied after my passport and other documents stayed way longer than usual at the Abuja embassy then shipped to Ireland.
I was frustrated to say the least, and this is where the God factor came in.
I had this overwhelming peace that truly surpassed all understanding. It kept me through being over stretched at work and saw me past all the rejections; plus it gave me a countenance that encouraged my family who were and still are rallied behind me.
They advised me to appeal the matter which I reluctantly did. Again, my documents stayed longer than usual at the embassy and I remember worshipping one night and reaching a breaking point where I told God that “if You give me this thing –
fine, but if not; I will serve You still”. The very next day, I was playing my favorite mobile game “Wordscapes” and the longest word was “appeal” and the on the next stage, “visa” was one of the words I found. I just took it as a sign but went on with my business and as God would have it…my appeal was harkened to and I got my visa the very next day. I quit the day right after (same day my organization did a major downsizing) [of course I carried my bosses along before hand on this possibility for relationship and ethics sake].
I believe the greatest part of my testimony is how God sorted out my accommodation through a wonderful lady I met here on this forum.
So to reiterate, this whole write up is to spark up hope in someone to keep pushing & trusting God and also to thank the creator of this forum and the wonderful people that have positively contributed.

Be blessed & be a blessing people.

I had a refusal for both the UK and USA and didn't have the refusal letters at the time but I wrote a letter explaining it and also attached my application details like the appointment confirmation page; you know the one that has your reference number and stuff?
