Using this day to remember a fellow Nairalander, Donbobes.

He was a Lieutenant in the Army and was killed in the North East by Boko Haram.

RIP soldier!

The military armed robbers.
The greatest tragedy to this country is the nigerian armed (robbers) forces.

The worst people among nigerians are in the military.
Their main aim is to steal unbelievable amount of money like abacha, ibb, obasanjo etc.
They destroyed nigeria.

Remembering the men who fought gallantly to put us in this misery and slavery to the western imperialist. Why on Earth should I remember I bunch of people who killed my people to remain a slave when we Igbos were Kings and queen before the white man came? Who remembers the men and women who died as a result of the quest to be free from the stranglehold of these British and American forces who have decided that we can never be a master in our own? May the soul of those men who were killed be avenged and may Nigeria not know peace until we all are free.

Sad for the innocent officers that died fighting for the most corrupt and useless Armed forces in the world. Mr Burantashi the idiot Chief Of APC Forces spent the money that was meant for the officers welfare buying luxury flats in Dubai for his family.... May he die a horrible death!

I explained this in the first post, but I'll explain it again.

Today is Armed Forces Remembrance Day. It's just one day. However, there is an emblem appeal month/week.

There are many soldiers that have been injured in battle. Many soldiers have also died and this has made members of their families to become widows and orphans. Lastly, there are some soldiers that have retired, are old and have not been able to get any other source of livelihood.

The Nigerian Legion is the association of retired soldiers. The government sells Remembrance Emblems in order to raise money for the injured retired soldiers, widows, orphans, etc. Part of this money is given to the Nigerian Legion.

Previously these emblems were sold for a week before Remembrance Day. In the last 20 years they have been sold for a month before Remembrance Day. President Buhari launched the emblem in December.

Apart from the emblem month, church and mosque services are also held in the week before Remembrance Day.

Today, we remember our fallen soldiers, that God may grant them eternal rest and give their families strong mind to withstand the demise of their loved ones.
War is delightful to those that have not experienced it. To our soldiers, give them the courage and wisdom, be above them to bless them, before them to guide them, and behind them to protect them. Amen

There was this nairalander that bore the name siriusblack, he furnished us with interesting photos and laurels made by our gallant troops against BH insurgents as they unfolded.

I think he was a soldier or a journalist covering a story. Whatever happened to him? Who knows his whereabouts ?

Admiral Ibas missed his step.

The chief of Defence Staff, inspector general of police and the service chiefs laid their wreaths together. They had to climb up a single step before collecting the wreaths from the NCOS and Admiral Ibas didn't get up the step on the first try.
