Two things can be gleaned from this MURIC position:

1. Akintola, leader of MURIC, is subtly against the formation of Amotekun but very careful to conceal this so as to not incur the wrath of his compatriots from the SW. Or else, how could MURIC be so quick to pick silly holes (silly because the allegation is outright silly) in the activities of a group (Amotekun) that has barely started. This is clearly a coordinated action: ACF, MACBAN and the Fulani-sympathetic FG have made their positions known, MURIC has also been vectored (as an in-house saboteur) to lend its voice so as to arrive at a crescendo.

2. MURIC is also playing the devil's advocate for the Fulani socio-political group, Myetti Allah, but it is clever enough to start the list of the non-natives who need to be protected with 'Igbo, Itsekiri and Igbira', while placing its real interest in distant number 5 (and 4)—first-rate subterfuge.

My Conclusion:

MURIC is essentially a tool in the hands of the Fulani aristocracy. Just as the Sardauna promised that the conquered 'minorities' will be a 'willing tool' in their hands. Demographically, the Muslims of Yoruba nativity are a minority group in matters pertaining to Islam in Nigeria. So the Sardauna agenda is still much on course.

Though headed by a Yoruba man, its allegiance is to the Fulani caliphate and aristocracy. It was faced with the choice of either standing in solidarity with the Yoruba people in their time of grave distress (to life and subsistence) or supporting the Fulani expansionist agenda, and it has clearly chosen to pitch its tent with the Fulani at the detriment of the pride and wellbeing of the Yoruba nation.

Henceforth, the group should be treated deservedly.
