If it's not itching and you don't have any health problems, you are good to go.
It might just be hormonal change, environment, chemical creams & soap and gene.

Not itching and no health problems observed at all. I'm a male though and I haven't changed cream or soap.

Same here. I first noticed mine when I changed enviroment. Have u changed environment recently?

Last time I changed environment was 2009. I didn't move out of that environment until 2014 when I left for school. I left school 2016 and I started noticing this 2017.

I'm still in the same environment where I arrived at in 2009 as it's my place of residence but I sometimes leave the place for school till now.

Well, I remember the dematologist told me this when I met her then but I haven't added anything new to what I take and I haven't stopped some things too. Makes me wonder what exactly it is that I'm reacting to.

Syphilis ?

Since 2017 ?

syphilis can stay up to 20 years in a body and at its latent stage, (usually 6 months ton2 years after infection) it may not be detected in the usual VDRL test

Here is an overview of syphilis

https://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/stdfact-syphilis.htm

https://www.healthline.com/health/std/syphilis#treatment

Here is a standardized outline for treatment by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)

https://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/treatment.htm

I'm not saying that you have syphilis, I'm saying its a high probability. Run the seminal culture and not just VDRL. If you have it, treat accordingly with guidance from your doctor.
If it's not syphilis use coconut oil exclusively as your cream, apply as often as possible.
Either way to lose the spots on your skin, you would need the coconut oil.

One more thing, someone wrote about using bitter kola and garlic to fight infections, I agree. I use it too and it is very effective. HOWEVER, if your doctor prescribes anti-biotics for you, you will have to stop using anything bitter kola, wonderful Kola, or any of those herbal stuff at least 5 days before starting the anti biotics and while you are taking the antibiotics.
More so, if the antibiotics, or any drugs for that matter, is administered Intra-muscularly (IM), space like two (2) months after finishing the anti-biotics course before you resume the herbal stuffs.
I would recommend the blend of garlic, ginger, little turmeric, wonderful Kola or bitter kola all preserved with honey to clear out infections and bacteria from your system. For the mean time, coconut oil should be your friend, your make up kit and your shine shine bobo.
You will be fine

I didn't change cream. I've been on Vaseline for over 20years.

alright. It could be internal factor it could be external factors.

if it's external factors, then you can easily control it.

If it's internal factors like hormonal changes (mostly in women) then it could require serious medication.

You should read up pigmentation and malesma

and see a demertologist

I'm a male. I haven't tried natural soap but I sometimes use the Antiseptic soaps.

None of my parents on siblings has experienced it

And no, it doesn't itch. Nothing at all except for the skin deformation.
Thanks.

With this and your visit to the dermatologist, I think you need to start doing

1..Change your soap to maybe ose dudu or any thing natural. Don't go herbal because most of these stuffs have been mixed with all sorts. Use ori (shea butter) or olive oil as your cream. You can mix alovera which is homemade. You can do that.

2..Check your diet. If you're the type that takes groundnut alot, remove it from your diet. Check something you are so much addicted to, and stop for a while.

3..Visit another hospital preferable a general hospital. Try as much as possible to see an old dermatologist with years of experience. Such Doctor would have witnessed something similar.

4...Since you said it's over three years and if at the end of this year, you try all I suggested or what you deem fit, and no changes, it would be advisable you go herbal. It may be inside the blood stream that needs cleansing.

While doing all these, you can do thorough research online. I know you would have done that. You can as well go further making use of online dermatologist on social media platforms like LinkedIn.

Such happened to my younger sister many years ago, it was all over her face. A light skin lady just went dark with no form of illness or symptoms of any sort. It didn't take up to 6months when treatment started that she passed on. Yours differs in many ways but don't handle with kid gloves either.

All the best bro..!!!

Hi
Whatever is wrong is probably systemic, ie arising from an internal, general problem rather than confined to the skin.
Are you taking some drug or substance that may be causing this?
If not, get to see a doctor who will screen you for Haemochromatosis and Addison's disease.
If these are negative and you have chronic systemic symptoms like weight loss, diarrhoea, chest or abdominal pain and chronic cough then consider getting a CT scan of the chest, abdomen and pelvis.
I wish you well and hope you get the right diagnosis and treatment.

Dermatologists and the experienced ones in the house please your help is needed.

I've been battling with this strange thing for upto 3years now.

It all started in 2017. I could see some dark patches on my body which looks as though they are under my skin.

I HAVE VISITED THE STATE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL to see a Dermatologist. I was told to do several tests which I did. After submitting the whole results, the doctor said nothing was wrong but it's just a skin allergy. She recommended a cream and since then I have been using it. It's more than a year now but no changes.

It's seen on my laps down to the feet.

Has anyone experienced this before ? I'd appreciate possible solutions to this please as it's making my skin look annoying.

Stop using sponge for now.

Buy PREMIUM SOAP(ALOE VERA) N50 and rub on body, leave for a long while then wash....You can also buy an Aloe Vera cream like Vaseline ( Aloe Vera).

Also, you can buy lime and mix with small honey, RUB on skin and leave for 15-20mins and wash(preferably at night) and can use CITROCLEAR (SERUM) N350-400(Use like cream).
Be prayerful too.

I'm a skin therapist and cosmetic formulator. Let's see what we can do.

Answer the following questions.

What soap and cream are you using?

Check between the period it started to now what have you changed in your diet?

Did you switch to new products before this started?

Have you ever exfolited your skin, when last did you do it?
