[quote author=DonMoel post=85903861]Dermatologists and the experienced ones in the house please your help is needed.

I've been battling with this strange thing for upto 3years now.

It all started in 2017. I could see some dark patches on my body which looks as though they are under my skin.

I HAVE VISITED THE STATE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL to see a Dermatologist. I was told to do several tests which I did. After submitting the whole results, the doctor said nothing was wrong but it's just a skin allergy. She recommended a cream and since then I have been using it. It's more than a year now but no changes.

It's seen on my laps down to the feet.

Has anyone experienced this before ? I'd appreciate possible solutions to this please as it's making my skin look annoying.[/quotewhy not go herbal.? I know of herbal cure]

What happened to you is called hyperpigmentation.It is cause by the area of the skin producing more melanin than usual.Melanin is what give our eye ,skin,hair its color.As you are told in the hospital no treatment for it,its due to hormonal changes.You just need to manage your skin.

@melasma usually occurs on the face of pregnant women or those who are taking contraceptives. It is not widespread like this.

If it was reaction to sulphunamides like someone else suggested, that one either presents as isolated large circumscribed rashes or full blown steven-johnson's syndrome. So it's not that either.

I would have gone with the syphilitic rashes if u had said it is also on the palm of your hands. You didn't snap your palms for us to see so we can't know.

Another idea could be seborrhoeic dermatitis. But it appears like a follicular lesion.

The best thing to do would be to get a second opinion from another dermatologist.

Here are pictures of my right & left palm.

Ok.

Like I said, that black patch is melasma Caused by excess production of melanin ( homorne responsible for pigment of the skin) coupled with dead skin cells that have piled up over the years.
Now the products you're using doesn't exforliate (get rid) of dead skin, that is why you have that dark patch and dull skin.

You need an exfoliatng soap and cream. Then a special treatment cream to help inhibit melanin production on that part of your body.

We could help you compound these products or teach you how to make it yourself just in case you're not within the same location. To cut cost.

How much are we talking about here ?
I'm in Osun State.

Here are pictures of my right & left palm.

It's clear. So that rules out a syphylitic rash.

I'll go with a follicular dermatitis. A full blood count test will should show elevated neutrophils. If I were seeing you I would prescribe antibiotics for 14 days then use a hypoallergenic cream (the normal Vaseline petroleum jelly does wonders but you can choose any hypoallergenic cream of your choice, it's sold in supermarkets, written on the label) for six months.
It might also be tinea corporis. That's a fungal infection. It's not as circumscribed as I'd like but then I dont know if your camera caught it very clearly. Is it on your face and back as well?

Also tinea corporis would itch... Still, antifungals for 3months wouldn't hurt.

There's nothing like seeing the person physically so as to look at the rash up close. We're only seeing bits and pieces.

Something would have happened when this rash first came up three years ago. Exposure to some metal or cloth that someone else wore /towel someone else was using/ working in the/walking through the bush/vegetation in the daytime and not taking a bath that night, etc. Something would have triggered the event. Only you can let us know about that.
Cheers.

I never gave myself the headache of having syphilis.

And then, hypoallergenic cream examples would be ?

I'd also like to know that of antibiotics.

You might be right. There was a time I used someone else's towel.

Thanks for your response. They are to the point and it's as if I was standing before you.

Looking for to your response on the feedbacks provided.

So I got banned and my post was deleted. I guess you can't make prescriptions on nairaland? I dunno.

Look for the hypoallergenic creams in cosmetic shops.

As for the antibiotics, try third generation cephalosporins for 14 days. Look it up.
Also I advised u take antifungals for three months non-stop.
The rash will definitely clear if your consistent with these.

Mods hope I didn't break any rules? Abeg no vex.

“You guys will first do a written interview, the fsb exam..it carries 40 marks, 40
questions.... it is very easy, at least it was to me.. maths, english, i.c.t and current affairs.... to
get a good shot at being nominated by fsb especially from those from competitive states, you
need to.score at least 35/40 in this exam... if you pass and you are nominated by fsb you will
have another oral interview which will decide your fate, with the russians..they will be the
ones to do the final selection.
Oh and yes, the fsb exam carries 40 marks your waec carries 60 marks, from that fsb will
nominate the best from each state...thus none of that matters to the russians......this is jist
for fsb nomination.... basically, Russia needs only 60 people from Nigeria (i don't know if slots
have been increased this year), so there fore fsb will nominate 120 people using this exam
and the waec..from which Russia will do the final picking, Russia does the final picking not fsb
so there is no wayo involved, atleast at the final stage... so as i said, 120 people will be picked
by fsb from the battalion of people that will apply for Russia... So your competition at this
stage is with people from your state....from.each stage fsb will.nominate the best 3
candidates while some more competitive or special states may get 4 or 5, depends on
fsb...but no.less than 3 people i guess... so do your best and good luck...(that does not mean
on that day of exam you shouldn't help.others, trust me it's by helping others that you will
find and correct your own mistakes..if you are on your own you won't find your mistakes
easily)
I am saying all these, cause during my time, i knew nothing about all of these, and these were
questions that kept on ringing in my head, but i got no answers... i hope these helps
someone...good luck
Note: this is for Russia, those for Hungary will follow a different process after the fsb exam,
also for China, algeria and morroco will follow different processes”
Well, if you have a good result, you have a very good chance, right now you don't need your
waec certificate, your statement of result will suffice. But try to get it before the oral
interview, which will be in April/late March for Russian applicants, those that passed the
exam and were nominated.....it will save you a lot of stress, because for me i didn't even have
mine during the oral interview, it was by God's grace that during September the Russian govt
still called me asked me to submit it because i had veen selected...so who knows if they will
still be kind this way again....all the same good luck...
Waec carries 60 marks and thr exam carries 40 marks all together is 100
A1=12
B2=10
B3=8
C4=6
C5=4
C6=2
D7,E8,F9=0
Now it is tricky, your waec result is very crucial carries more weight than the exam...but even
if you have 60 marks in your waec and you fail your exam, let's say 25/40 or lower, you might
not be selected because, the exam is so easy that they will think thwt you cheated in your
waec result..... if you score very high in the exam maybe 40/40 and you have a very low waec,
maybe all Cs, few Bs and plenty Ds..they won't also select you, because the host country will
definetely still reject you and of course your waec is bad...the host country uses your
waec.....so if ypu want a good shot, your waex must be okay or good and score at least 35/40
in the exam
But another issue is, everything determines on the people from your state....if you score
85/100, and 10 other people score 90/100...am sorry but you know what it means.... so that
is why try as much as possoble to do very well in your exam... your exam will decide you,
because you can't change your waec result ....what is done is done
