For small capital investors These apps might serve you right...

Please note that I'm not an affiliate nor promoter . I use them and felt like sharing with you..

The apps are very safe and backed up and also insured.. For example, Piggybank is insured by UBA bank

Alat is owned by WEMA

Paylater (carbon)

PayLater is owned by One Finance Investment limited

You might want to make your back ground research on these apps before you invest in them......

______

Alat has everything I'm looking for including converting naira to dollars, but the app doesn't seem to work properly, I saw lots of horrible reviews on the app store, including people complaining that they're unable to transfer money out of the account.

It's a shame because most of this new investing apps have brilliant ideas but poor implementation.

For the fg bonds peeps , after thinking thoroughly about it, locking up 50 million for 5 years is a terrible Idea.

Even if you hedge, the returns after five years will be lower.

The reserves keep falling, at best if lucky we'll escape a devaluation this year but not sustainable for five years

I'm sticking with the eurobond, all I need is how to convert my naira to dollars online.

If you have Naira and usd accounts in naija, all you need to do to find someone that can negotiate with a reliable bureau de change, you pay the bureau de change in naira, they credit you usd acc within 3 hours.

As for investing 50 milla in FGN bonds, it is a huge risk and better you split the money in halves, half in Eurobonds and half in FGN bonds, whatever happens with devaluation you are somewhat better off.

I have been pondering on this question. In 10 years, could we see an exchange of over N500 to a dollar? Any government that allows that would have thrown our country to the dogs. But then, looking back, 10 years ago, naira was exchanging at about N150 to a dollar. Now, it's circa N360. Any thoughts?

Jesus. This sounds scary to me. Almost like they're subjecting you to threat and making you subject to their mercies. I hope you are doing or have taken drastic measures. Abeg o. Tbills won't threaten or loot your account o. This descriptive is scary enough abeg

Is kakawa discount house trusted? And can I invest in bond through them?

Which investment house or fund managers do you suggest I use?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by 9jatriot(m): 6:47pm On Jan 19, 2020
By now you should be able to distinguish some of those who are only speaking from theory, or in lastest Naija speak, "audio" from those who do. It is not by big big grammar.

does that mean we can go to fbnh office and subscribe?

My broker, Meristem, didn't send such info.

I will prefer a company with branch in Port harcourt for this bond...any suggestions?

What's with the spite. I'm at the foundational phase of my manufacturing company and placed " things" in place to tackle such occurrence.

Non-digitized investments isn't opposed to tbills investment. Get it right. It's not a contest or arguement.

Plus, I'll never leave Tbills, at the peak of one's financial management comes the need to put funds in stable systems that are risk free which makes tbills and other financial investment options excellent. So it's not a contest. Even if it were, I'll die first before I leave real sector engagement ( I spent a decade of my life on digitized investment, so I'm more Pro-Tbills, bonds and stocks than you think)

Please gurus in the house, an old friend was spoke to me about doing bureau de change business. She said they get bid at 357 and sell at 360, she said I am only entitled to 40% of the profit per dollar invested.

Please gurus in the house who has heard about this or doing this.

Thank you

You will get N727,500 every six months at 14.55% for 10 yrs
Best Regards
hmmm! This amounts to about 120k per month. This is good o. With the current rate, that’s what 25-30m in Stanbic MMF gives in a month.

if the figures branded by ALAT Wema Bank are anything to go by (10% PA with interested paid every month giving room for compounding) I see it as a very viable option which will allow you maintain fantastic liquidity and security (holding period is 30 days).

it will likely serve as my transition account as i wait for better opportunities smiley

Demo on the App shows a daily return of N246.58 for 1Million Naira

Monthly return: Average - N7,397.40

This falls around 8.8% PA, I guess larger sums may attract more %

You can sell. Just open a stock brokerage account and monitor it, u can even tell ur stock brokers to advice u on best time to sell. Most people do not hold till maturity and remember that all the secondary market bonds are owned by someone. It doesnt make sense to stack ur money in the bank as we do not know when TB is coming back. Do the bond, convert the coupon payment to dollars and invest it in Eurobond. Very simple.

Yeah, I got same mail from Morgan Capital.

That will be sales through the secondary market.

Morgan can buy N50 million worth or more and resale to you at N1100 and your effective yield will drop from 14.5% to 13%

The cars, house and clothes we bought 10years ago have depreciated or has consumed more money to maintain. Personally, i dont like been too careful. Those securing their money in dollars, what if naira appreciates againts dollars, i have tried my little best by investing. I leave the rest to nature.
