NGpatriot:What a coincidence that the promotion and sensitization was carried out just before elections. Isn't that wonderful? It happened just at the right time. Such an unplanned coincidence. I guess they were as surprised as me. I mean, what are the odds of it happening? |

This topic is needless as it is. The question as some folks here are putting it should be directed to the humanitarian ministry which is the new ministry all SIPs are moved. But because some nairalanders are very lazy to read, think, investigate and comprehend, they won't know its still in the financial plans of the FG for the year 2020 https://www.businessamlive.com/fg-to-give-out-n20bn-traders-moni-loan-in-2020/ |

So many comments here about how SIP has been shifted from the VP's office to the newly created ministry of Humanitarian Affairs. Some are saying that the scheme has been ongoing before the VP makes it more popular by visiting markets and snapping pictures with the beneficiaries. Now the question for those asking us to channel our investigations to the ministry in charge. 1, Did Nigerians complained about Trader Moni before Osinbanjo decided to be the brand ambassador just months before elections? 2, Those yellow T shirts that reads" I am a Trader Moni beneficiary", where are the new sets? 3, Why can't Sadiya Farouk imitate Osibanjo and personally give out the stipends to the new beneficiaries even if it will be Abuja or Nassarawa state that is closer to her? 4, Why is it not necessary again to sensitive the masses about the activities of the Trader Moni in print and electronics media, as was the case in 2019? Nigeria indeed will be great again. |

Nnannapat:The whole thing about TraderMoni, MarketMoni, Npower is that it was conceived by Buhari’s administration a year after his first election through his first budget presentation (2016 Budget) but the Saraki led Senate delay the passage of the to the middle of the year making implementation to be close to end of year 2016 and early 2017. You will remember that Npower first set were absorb in November 2016. So most of the GEEP initiatives came to light in mid 2017. You will remember same fate, even worst befell 2017 budget. The delay of the the budgets (2016 - 2017), makes all these initiatives it look suspicious as the delay push the implementation towards few months to preparation of 2019 elections. The PDP gave these initiatives more social and public awareness by their clumsy campaign against the programme as a vote buying strategies. In my personal opinion, I believe the VP, being the brain behind and Administrator of the initiative, see the negative publicity as opportunities and take charge of it. His involvement create a greater awareness and the masses are confirming the realness of ALL the initiatives. It eventually paid off for their re-election, thanks to PDP for bringing it to the public awareness. On the current situation, personally I knew people who were send text messages last year October and November that they money are ready for collection. They have not only collected the said money but some have paid off and applied for next higher value. The less publicity can be attributed to the cause of it initial publicity. (1) PDP are no more interested in what those initiatives stand for, and (2) the programme has been move from the VP office to a new Ministry, hence, the non-involvement of the VP office. In conclusion, TraderMoni and other initiatives like it were not conceived for vote buying but as a fulfilment of one of the campaign promises but later turned to become one of the tools to re-elect the current administration because they positively took the wrongly use campaign strategy of PDP to their own advantage. I hope you get answers to all your questions in this post. You see in life, you don't really have enemies. You only have people who throw unpleasant obstruction on your way to make you understand the great potential of little things you care less about. |
