Relax, she didn't confront you that means she isn't angry with what you said. If she found what you said irrating she would have responded directly to you and not involved a third party (her house help)

When she comes back, greet her normally and continue with your job, it's most likely that she'll let it slide or informally ask you what you meant by that statement. If the later is the case, simply tell her that you were appreciating God's creative art work in her and nothing more... believe me, women love being appreciated regardless of how unapproachable or mean they might look. That reply alone would make her giggle and give a fake hiss and ask you to return back to your job. But deep down she will be the happiest person that day.

There's nothing to worry about. No female boss would sack her staff for complimenting her looks.

But next time learn to mind your business...it reduces problems and unnecessary anxeity.

Angry bosses are due to Nigerian finacial condition, paying stafs seem like a huge sacrifice to them and they somehow feel they are owed a huge favour, especially female bosses with multitude of hormonal inbalance

Until Nigerians work in a country with working Labour Laws, or they school in countries that teachers dont beat you up and ridicule your, or lecturers intimidate you, they wouldnt know what it feels like to be liberal

Many would give reasons for the Bosses paranoid wicked behaviours as if the employee abused any of the company law/policies , Employement contracts /agreement and moral and in ethics or labour laws.. that is how we continue to support domestic abuse of children and abuse from teachers and lecturers because we where trained like that and dont know better

And some people simply dont have the right language with which to express themselves. They mean well but cant communicate. There was this chap who while being interviewed at my office and obviously being very nervous, blurted out to the woman interviewing him " I like your smell"


Afterwards the chap was alleging victimization. But the woman in the interview notes had put down " behaviour inconsistent with the firms culture - high risk of recruitment/ client facing errors" And that was that.

Better to be professional and focus on the job/goal than to try scoring points and end up with egg on your face.
