I had the same issue, some school will never address any letter "To whom it may concern", they have a reason for that,....... I'll advice you send them uni-assist address like I did and it was accepted, moreover, you can apply to multiple schools with a single document you have with uni-assist.

Use the name of one of the schools... It doesn't matter. It will be accepted by the others. The letter carries your name and other import information.

Tell them to address it as “ To whom it may concern”.

Please I need advise. The 4th paragraph says with this letter I can apply for a study applicant's visa at the German Embassy. Please how I do I book for a date? Thank you bosses.

To start with, it is dangerous posting your details on this forum. I would advise you delete it. You could have simply asked the question without adding the picture

Secondly, Student Applicant Visa does not apply to Nigeria. Wait for your admission letter/confirmation and apply for Student Visa proper

Hello everyone,

Apparently it is obvious that the German mission in Nigeria (both Lagos and Abuja) is trying to cut down on numbers of Nigerian students coming to Germany through this strict appointment date process, imagine this happening in Summer 2020 where you have lesser applicants, what will now happen in Winter 2020 where you have more applicants ? i once spoke to a professor at university of Potsdam while making some inquiries about a course and he asked where i come from, i said Nigeria, he laughed and said Nigerians are flooding them with applications.

One of the reasons of these appointments issue that i am sure of is because of the massive numbers of applicants from Nigeria (not more than India though). Also, could this problem be a reflection of our bad government ? I can't answer that and maybe partly yes, the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany is clearly useless like his other colleagues. Do you also know that you can study for free at the University of Vienna Austria? Yes you can! but guess what, Nigeria among most African countries is exempted, even Benin, Niger, Angola, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia and so on can study in Austria for free.

Well, i am still hoping they will drop dates but clearly this embassy new appointment process is not built to give dates like before unlike summer 19 where you can even choose dates yourself, right now, i am sure they have hundreds if not up to a thousand + of study visa appointment requests piled up in their system and they give PhDs, scholarship candidate (EU, DAAD, ERASMUS) more priority because embassy issues visa for scholarship candidates (thats why it takes less than a week for them to get AM). However, i really hope they change this system and return to the old format (this time with all your complete documents including funds) except they have decided to cut us out.

Nevertheless, don't sleep on Germany fellas. Another option is to look for schools in Poland or other cheaper EUs, they are way cheap too although not tuition free for all, enter there and cross to Germany if you want, half of polish citizens are in Germany sef.

If you really mean business, another good option i would suggest is to go to Ghana (or make inquiries) and get their residence permit or proof of residency and apply for your German visa in Ghana, the Ghanian residence shouldn't be that hard to get that. On the German embassy website in Accra, dates are flowing like water, you get to choose yourself but they can only interviewed you if- as stated on the website "The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Accra is only responsible for applicants who are permanent residents in GHANA, LIBERIA and SIERRA LEONE. The Embassy will NOT accept visa applications of persons who cannot provide evidence that their habitual abode is in one of the aforementioned countries."
NB: I am not 100% sure how they do their residency stuff in Ghana for normal residence and permanent.

But seriously i really do hope dates drop soon, and they change this booking process, else, it would be worse in Winter 2020.

I did boss, he said I apply differently and pay 6k each.

Clearly, they are trying to extort you, the goddamn system is built that way.

The best option is to tell them to address it to Uni-Assist , different schools will understand this, its still yourself in the certificate

I strongly disagree with you. If the problem the German embassy has is the issue of booking without AL, they will have come up with a system of booking where you will need to show your AL while booking.

So the problem is not about booking without AL brother.

Exactly! Its not about booking without admission or cutting corners, in Winter 2017, you can only get an appointment with an admission letter and other necessary docs but they changed it. The problem is the massive number of study visa applicants.

Exactly yes since the 15th and I haven’t heard from them, you have any idea about their acceptance rate and chance of admission ?

I just checked the testAS website and there's no centre in nigeria for the April 25th exam. Does that mean it won't be written in nigeria or it's just not been updated?
akinswaggs:
Please if you registered for Testas exam for March, pls log into your account and go edit your exam registration data and select English as the test language. In most scenerio it has been discovered that German is the language it changes to after registration.

So please login and do the needful, verify the language in which you are taking the test except if you personally want to take it in German then you're good to go!.

Cheers

Do India citizens have issues getting student visas?

Is the same pausity in getting AD affecting India?

Clearly Nigeria is a laughing stock.

Also I bet it's already in NIPOST office. U can go there and ask. Mine was already in NIPOST office for a week before they brought it themselves. If your address is hard to find it might not get to u.. Again the mailed admission letter is not needed for your interview..

If you didn't get any via email... Request it be sent via email (scanned copy) it will serve. Very few people actually wait for Admission letter via post.
It's great you have an AD

Use Aramex... The cheapest or TNT (found in FedEx offices.)
You can combine with others sending to Uni Assist for lesser cost

Good morning people.. Please I'd like to ask, one of my friends suggested that I should have my interview in Benin Republic since I have their resident permit. Do you think that is possible? And do I have the option of having my interview in English and not French?

Defer ur admission to winter, possibility of u getting AD is slim, and worst if u re cat B.

Just been realistic
