Create a folder on the root of your internal storage called GoogleCamera then create another folder in this folder called ConfigsCamera. Paste the XML FILE (s)

Then open the app click on the black space at the right side between the shutter button and the button to view pictures select the config file and click restore. Close the app and reopen.

Go to settings, advanced where you see Pixel 4 XL change it to SSKGM1(If applicable to this version).

Try 1.0, snap check the result then increase/decrease to taste. As you increase to + 1.0 and above the image gets brighter, if you reduce - 0.1 and below the image gets darker. Just experiment you'll get better result to suit your taste.

At least I told Mi 9 lite buyers about the GCam situation but you all preferred the notch to the pop-up camera.

If you are getting the phone look at what you can't do without and prioritize it above others that rarely matter. In some months time some people's K20 pro, Mi 9t will be a year old and the pop-up camera is still going.

I think you can download the APK. I think as a result of GDPR all Xiaomi phones outside China come with Google dialer. Though there is an update supposed to come with the option in the not too distant future. Just sit tight

Unfortunately it can't be changed. Due to regulation issues, Xiaomi stopped baking custom Mi dialer and messaging into some versions of recent phones. Except you flash some ROMS or something, you're stuck with Google!
