gunuvi:Not everyone thinks straight! The other day in the States some looney went on a shooting spree in church and got gunned down by someone else who was in church and armed. Imagine if no one else in there had a gun? |

backnbeta:You are right, and this is another political stratagise to retain power again comes 2023, but their only down fall will be if the yoruba's learn from this and refuse to stup too low for them. |

GEEBITE:Many of you don't even have knowledge about processes and procedures. Kid, let me ask you a question: if an Amotekun unit arrests a gang of kidnappers, what do they do with/to them? Were you of age when OPC started? Perhaps you were not old enough then, let me remind you that it started well and later became a criminal gang as many of their members used their position to commit crimes against the same people they were meant to protect. Such is what can go wrong with an illegal, unrecognized, outfit. |

Hillsong34:stop brining opc shiiitxxx into the argument...they were ethnic militias...and obj another yoruba man dismantled them. amotekun is a security outfit offering human power to the police for effective coverage... the way companies employ hallogen security outfit in their branches... people are not just being sincere. it means some evil people are happy at daily news of fulani massacre everywhere in nigeria... AMOTEKUN IS 100percent constitutional...all legal practitioners are saying it, but fulani marauders like you are the one sayign otherwise |

Hillsong34:I hope you have been reading the papers since the AGF said Amotekun is illegal. Afe Babalola,Saga etc have all told the AGF that he is wrong. They have gone as far as quoting the necessary sections which strengthen the creation of Amotekun. If the FG is not comfortable with it,they should approach the court. |

zoedew:Didn't the person who shot the "looney" have a licence to carry the gun he used? Common sense dictates that security outfits require laws to operate. Stop being sentimental about it. What stops the 6 states from routing Amotekun through the states HOA? |

| Re: Amotekun Solidarity Walk: Police take over Ibadan venue by PassingShot(m): 12:25pm On Jan 21, 2020 |
hotwax:It's you and people like you who need to be more rational and discerning. The private security outfits companies hire are licensed to operate as security outfits. What we are saying is, the six states govt should send a bill to their state's HOA to establish Amotekun. That way, it becomes a legal outfit. What is difficult in that? |

This is just to let the federal government know how important and urgent the security is in South West states and to raise urgent solution to it |

By the time two or three gunshots are fired, the defenders of Amotekun would scamper. If you supported the decimation of IPOB and you are now defending Amotekun because they were sponsored by your ethnic group, then shame on you. Amotekun must not be allowed to hold. Ethnic militias have no place in Nigeria. If each state wants to establish a security outfit, let their individual state legislature pass a law establishing it at the state level. Not at regional level. |

No dey talk balderdash na, while the regionalization of the body might not have been his preferred method, but VP Osinbajo has been the chief campaigner for community policing. A simple Google Search would leave you inundated with the number of speeches he's given in the support for state policing to bridge the lapses that the current conventional security agencies make. emmydiamon:Amotekun has come to stay in South West and is only for other Regions to come closer and see how Security Apparatusare run and organized in a normal society.Amotekun should be a yardstick for a good, rapid and flexible organization without compromising it's objective of protecting the populace from all manner of crimes,Kidnapping, murder etc. It is a local way of solving local problems and should be a role model to other security outfits. |
| Re: Amotekun Solidarity Walk: Police take over Ibadan venue by Alfaab: 12:32pm On Jan 21, 2020 |
PassingShot:Stop this. The creation of Amotekun is within the ambit of the constitution.Hope you are more knowledgeable than Afe Babalola etc.Are you saying that Fulani herdsmen, cultists etc should snuff out the lives of everybody before they protect themselves? |

Hillsong34:This deal is done already. If the AG is not happy let him go to court. If it was not done like this the initiative will be frustrated. We will eat raw any Yoruba leader who opposes this. |
| Re: Amotekun Solidarity Walk: Police take over Ibadan venue by hotwax: 12:34pm On Jan 21, 2020 |
PassingShot:Read about amotekun and stop this shiiiitin... Police are the one in charge of licensing of guns and coordination... Police even gave them guidlines on the kind of gun they can carry... You dont need any state house legislation for community policing... it is already supported in the constitution... only criminals feels threatened... |
