Government need to understand this error sometimes are made by the person that enrolled us. Give us grace to check what they fill for Us and one chance to modify by ourself.
let's act like developed countries. We use same software afterall...

Exactly, I mean my DOB got changed at the point of registration- the official filled in the wrong dates (he got the right year) and of course it doesn't show on the slip when its printed out and now I am paying the price.
It is just annoying even with all the documents I provided

The DOB change of my bvn didn't reflect on nimc database then the person said I should use it and when it reflects I can easily come and correct it. Now I have to pay 15k for an error that was not originally there. I just want to know how long till the change is made.

How can you say you made mistake about your DOB?
who does that?
what that means is you are fraudulent person,it means you have been using different DOB to cheat and defraud the system.

You are a foól.

I'm going through the same problem now.

I don't know how a date of birth 5 years higher than mine was inputed as my age even though I offered them my real birth certificate during registration.

Those guys at NIMC are doing it on purpose to have people come back

The same thing happened to me. I was shocked. I've never used the age other than the one on my birth certificate and it was the one I produced at the headquarters of NIMC in abuja.

The officials are doing it on purpose to rake in cash.

You are speaking for the masses. During the initial registration, you were staring at the screen when your personal details were been inputed (including your date of birth). You were issued a slip of registration (which included your personal details (and date of birth)). And now you suddenly realized there was a mistake in your date of birth.
...Pot calling kettle black...

Dunce.

Not all the complainants are trying to falsify age. Stop shutting people up for a fault that isn't theirs.

Not all of us were shown our details on screen.

At the NIMC headquarters in Abuja were I registered, I sat opposite the official and he registered me using my original birth certificate. It turned out it was another details entirely.

You two are big big fools, I'm having the same issue now when I collected my slip. It turned out that they used the details on my BVN for the NIMC, whereas the date of birth on my BVN was younger than my actual age which was an error from the bank and I've rectified it since 2018 yet NIMC has not updated the downloaded BVN details for four years now. So I'm trying to cheat too? Watch what you say and stop reasoning like dolts

My own case is different. Nimc wants to punish me because they have a BVN database last updated in 2015.
My DOB was wrongly captured by my bank during bvn registration which i didnt know until 2016 when i wanted to open an account with another bank.I had my DOB corrected on the bvn platform by the bank that made the mistake since 2016.
i registered on Nimc platform in 2016 and was issued a slip. Every time i had the opportunity to get to their office, they tell me the card/Slip isnt ready. i was at their office in Lagos to check again last week and i was told i had to re-register.

i was surprised because i could see my details on their computer. The officer then directed me to another officer when my questions were getting to much. The other officer confirmed my details on their platform using my BVN and even wrote out my NIN for me, but still insisted that i had to re-register because my bvn records had issues on their platform

i had to fill another form and proceeded to get re-registered. After few hours it was my turn to get captured and i was now told that the DOB i have on my form is different from what is obtainable on the bvn platform. I told the officer what happened and explained that it was already resolved but i was surprised when i was told that the bvn records with NIMC is as at 2015 and so no update on bvn reflects on their platform and that People who got enrolled on bvn platform after bvn records where downloaded for Nimc in 2015 cannot register for the national identity card for now.

i was now directed to read the attached internal memos. Why should i pay 15k when i have already been issued NIN ? i have everything requested for to update the DOB including my old National Identity card but i dont 15k to pay.

Same with me, have you corrected it?

Mr Loveday , I have some questions :

This is in the scenario of someone who has not registered before:

Is the NIMC linked to BVN?

If yes it means you get your DOB data from the Bank

So the DOB info does not originate from NIMC but from the Bank.

If there is an error from the Bank/BVN on the DOB it means this error is passed on to NIMC

However one can effect a change on the DOB in the BVN from the Bank.

If one does this , is the NIMC system not supposed to automatically update itself since the person has not registered for NIN before.

As for me. My year of birth is correct on intl passport, bank profile, but wrong on NIN
