Before the interview I contacted a distant relative of mine though a retiree of the corporation that was based in Lagos. At that time he was encouraging me claiming that the recruitment seems to be the most transparent that he has seen and he believes this time it will be merit based. Lately I contacted him complaining of the delay and his utterances are not to encouraging anymore. He thought things were getting better but later realized that the corporation has returned back to its status quo, in summary he said slots were actually being sold like how it has always happened... He was disappointed....I know there would be merit but the corruption in our system is so bad and those saying the present government has changed the system, in reality it is a big lie....Slot buying and all those acts that occur in federal parastatals and agencies are still going on. If only one can go in and see how decayed the system is. I still hope for the best for I know of someone that went in the last recruitment without knowing anyone.

When people here talk of slot buying and stuffs like that, it is no lie...it actually happens...God help us in this country

This is one of those times that I wished I was an indigene of these states. Northerners dey enjoy aswear. I am from the worst state...too many competition. Any Ekiti guy here?

Sorry man. I know of twins in electrical engineering in my class that graduated with 4.88 and 4.69 CGPA from Benue. Daniel and David Terhemba. They both got PTDF scholarship and are back. Just pray they didn't apply else discount 2 slots out of your state's FCC share grin

Bro they too sabi book oh else they won't have aced PTDF overseas exams 3yrs ago and the undergraduate scholarships they enjoyed. I think NNPC test would be a piece of cake for them if they applied.

Look I have a guy from my village, not LGA oh, -LGA is still big- village! He came out with a first class too... 4.7 thereabouts. He did EEE, lemme not add the other feats. Oga, it's either I get, or him get, or both of us get (per merit), in Jesus name, AMEN! grin grin

They are possibly the states where all candidates were absolved because they weren't enough or more than enough of them.
You people really take us for granted, I am from Niger State and I can tell you that we have more than enough qualified candidates to fill the whole rumored 1300 candidates that will be employed. I know a first class Civil Engineering candidate that didn't make it to the interview becos of the high competition frm his local government. We have a group chat for NNPC hopefuls from my state and I guarantee you, you cannot match the brightness of our minds. Stop saying we can't fill up our slots. We are northerners yes, but do not underestimate us from your assumptions. Peace
