Extremely dangerous. The cylinder should at least 100 yards away from the stove

You already know the answer otherwise you won't be asking.

Small leakage from the valve of the cylinder head and the entire house will catch fire immediately from explosion.

Are you aware that gas cylinder sitting inside your kitchen is a bomb that can explode at any given time?

I know you'll say God forbid and Jesus gat me. Same thing my guy must have thought before gas explosion in his kitchen killed him and his baby girl.

Please keep your gas cylinder outside. Drill a hole through the wall and pass the pipe. That way your home is protected from an explosion.

But then you can always say God forbid to this advice and test your luck.

What are the precautions on how to avoid gas accidents?
It is not stated by the OP. Always try to read an article before typing or still book space, then read, you can comment.

I read the article from the beginning to the end, no precautions /precaution, only giving us histories, those that have power plants in different states, some occurrences, how the Task force should be set up and seal off any illegal dealers / sellers, how they would register and be given a number...... etc.

So what are then the precautions since it is educating??

my question is, what makes it really safe even when kept outside, can't an explosion occur even while its been kept outside, I'm not countering what u said, just being curious

Nope as long as it ain't leaking but you would feel safer if you could distant them.

Always clean your gas hose of any food that may rest on them because rats will chew... Also sniff the air around the cylinder and cooker itself before igniting
Thanks for this safety tip. The Cylinder can also be kept outside the kitchen.

The government need to sanitize all these fake and expired cylinders, and moreover the road gas has litered everywhere.

These guys should be educated and go through some kind of training and if possible be given certificate self. Instead of killing innocent souls everytime.

Unfortunately, some Nigerians will see such scheme as a money-making endeavour. They'll loot the government treasury and extort the gas sellers without focusing on their primary assignment.

For example, some weeks ago, in one south west state, some people were giving "emission-free" sticker to vehicle owners in exchange for #1k.

They weren't testing any vehicle to see if it's emission free or not ooo, just give them 1k and you'll get the sticker for your vehicle.

Nothing can work well in this country because all we see in everything is money-making (whether ethical or not).

Anyone not privy with the way this government regulatory agencies work, would think all this noise about illegal gas outlets is all about safety of lives and properties. unfortunately, all the are interested in is the revenue they will generate.

because there is minimal risk of damage, loss of lives and explosion, when it occurs outside, the gas leakage can not fill all the entire atmosphere outside, compared to when the gas cylinder is inside the kitchen and a leakage happens, the gas leakage will Fill and contain the entire kitchen and extends to other rooms, and an ignition will explode, destroy your building, kill people in the proximity.
