Everybody is corrupt,
Only a stringent bill against corruption will prevent public servants from embezzling public funds.

Mehn,
I don't know what gives this people the mind to steal money like this. If death sentence is the way to go, people wouldn't have the boldness and the mid of their own to do this.

See the way these guys are moving billions meant for projects from one private account to the other, without the project being executed. The head of a committee or agency shouldn’t have access to funding so easily. There should be board who verify the purpose of cash without and also b part of signee to the account. Is nt a sole proprietorship. Why have easy access to all d funds in d confers

Sad story after sad story of mindboggling theft & corruption coming out in Nigeria. I wonder how these theifing Nigerians sleep at night after such brazen theft of our commonwealth and they drive around towns & cities seeing their fellow Nigerians languish in poverty. These people don't deserve life. Until corruption starts attracting death penalty as it's done in China, the carnage will continue to cripple our dear country.

Nigeria my country.

Security issue we having is caused by nothing but the fact that some elders are seeing it as an avenue for business.

The problem in Africa is fundamental that needed to be fixed from the root. A typical African politician doesn't know the primary reason why he is in a office aside money, civil servants are not excluded.
Sincerely, I am afraid for the future of this country.
A contract was given and paid by Govt 2.7 billion, the company now subcontract this same contract out for 700million, over 1.5 billion naira became Sara (free) money.
Even the Benin hanger which was the contract was not done,
2.7 billion went into the air just like that.
I am really pained with such informations, what are the poor people doing, instead to rise agains this thieves and looters, join hands with government to deal with this thieves, they will not but only say its president buhari problem.
This money are our money for infrastructures, investments etc to make life beta for Nigerians but a few rich people will steal this money and the poor will keep quiet instead of rising up

By now, you guys can see why these people would go to any lengths to preserve "One Nigeria?"

You must be living in fool's paradise to think this country would get better with the status-quo.

It is either Nigeria is restructured or it will be looted into extinction. Restructuring is the only antidote to corruption. Switzerland is not this corrupt
When you restructure Nigerians would suddenly become Angels.

The system is just too porous,
Nigerian constitution Needs serious restructuring not even amendment.
These people have turn public funds to there family property,
Drastic steps needs to be taken to stop all these deadly moves.
All these have been happening since OBJ days,
Stringent bills needs to be pass to stop corruption in this country,
People are dying everyday cause of these evil people,
Bad roads, bad healthcare,unstable electricity(since 1960),unemployment, poverty,insecurity..

FG appointments is another big issues,Hausa,'s have turn it to their family affairs, from military to Agencies and other public positions,
Restructuring will give everyone equal right.
Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians not one ethnic group.

Wow and the subcontractor would want to make at least 50% of the 700m as his profit so there you see where the problem raises, we never care for standard.
And for the masses, the gullibility out there is massive. Yet people thinks they are smart by engaging in stupid things i.e ritual thinking one spirit would just bring money perhaps worshipping spiritual fathers/mothers forgetting to face reality.
If not for colonial masters, I can bet that this country would not have all the little infrastructure it has. Imagine lagos Ibadan express which was only to be maintained is taking 10 years and yet to be completed despite the fact that they ain't initiating the construction which would have entails more technical and research work. Nigeria is tiring me Olohun.

Restructuring is the only way out,
The 1999 constitution only favours the Government and those in power

The former Governor sounds to be Tambuwal.

Meanwhile, as we are reading these atrocities committed in years back, I believe we will also be reading some related stories about this administration in some years to come.

This is Nigeria, a country where we have recycled thieves as leaders.

The governor is Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State. He was a house of rep member from 2003 to 2015 and was chairman, house committee on marine transport for 8 years.

The unfortunate thing about this story is AVM Atawodi, the guy is from Idah, a LG in kogi State without a good access road. Add that to the poverty in that state and go figure.

Things like this has been going on since the time of OBJ,
That was why he called for the Establishment of EFCC,
EFCC just like the DSS works for the government in power though,
The person in power determines how effective they carry out their duties.
