Insert finger in her anus? Anyway I no most baby don't poo everyday and I know most EBF baby can go 5days without pooing...But I know sabi mamas will come and do justice to ur question soon

I think d baby shld be given water after each feed since she's not on EBF,also tell madam to eat plenty fruits

But if there's still no changes there's no cause for alarm leave her she'll eventually poop. Newborn can stay witout pooping for days

1. Give warm water first thing in the morning. It helps the baby to go to toilet.

2. For every bottle of formula given, make sure baby drinks at least half amount of water. So for example if your baby is fed about 6 bottles in a day every 4h,you may want the baby to drink water every hour except when asleep.

3. This, I do personally, some frown at it but then it works for me.
I reduce the number of scoops per meal and increase the number of meals by one to make up for it.
So if I need 6 scoops or formula for 120mls of water, I'll make it 5 scoops in 120mls of water and if my child usually eats like 6 bottles in a day, I'll increase it to 7. That way, the 7th bottle makes up for 5 out of 6 scoops that has been missed in that day.


If your baby is around 4-6m and not ebf

Squeezed orange does wonders ensure the roughages are intact cos that's the real koko
Pureed Seedless watermelon is okay too
Avoid bananas and apples as they both contribute to constipation.

First of all no more inserting of finger into baby's anus sodomy plus her nails might injure the delicate skin in there.

It's normal for baby's to go without pooing for days, give warm water to drink(few teaspoons is fine) before first formula meal of the day and throughout the day.

Don't make the formula too thick or you can go a scoop less than recommended(my PERSONAL opinion and experience) I used SMA GOLD and noticed the recommended scoops for my sons age turned out too thick and made him constipated so I dropped one scoop and we were fine.


During bathtime a gentle warm water massage of the tummy helps them go afterwards.


If it persist mom should adjust her diet to include more fruits and veggie so baby can get some.

Hello mamas, does nausea come back in the third trimester. I don't understand what is going on.

Also I do not have appetite, I guess it's because of change of environment, Maybe when I am back home, I will start eating well again. I thought this was the period where we ate none stop so baby could add weight. I almost fainted yesterday,I guess it's because of my poor eating appetite because immediately I forced myself to eat three times within few hours, I felt better.

me sef I’m just confused. I thought babies under six months are only meant to drink milk strictly formula or breast milk.

If you are on exclusive breastfeeding, baby do not need any water as long as the EBF last because the breastmilk already contain lots of water

But in the case of mixed feeding that is, the moment you start giving baby formula, please and please include water in the daily feeding even if baby is one week old to avoid constipation.

Thanks so much for this information. I'm about to get worried because my baby has not poo since yesterday. We are on both formula and breast feeding. I will give him water first thing tomorrow morning

Na so, I planned buying my hospital list as from next week though I don't have much on d list to buy as GH was generous with their list this tine.....Then I will just buy few more clothes to the ones we have already bought and chill till madam comes @ least we won't be going out till around 6weeks

Yes ma'am, I did mine @15weeks but presently 24weeksplus........

Bed rest required after the procedure for some days(only 30minutes walk is necessary during the period of resting), Please don't eat hot food, no bending down, no lifting of heavy weight and avoid stairs(If necessary, it should not be more than once a day), avoid constipation, drink at least 4-5bottles of water a day, ensure you use your medications always, still continue your cyclogest(Insert it through your anus), avoid stress, keep your antenatal appointment's and put everything in prayers.
