Cos the way I see it, unlike Ebola, the number of the people we r trying to cage(majorly the chinese) are potentially many. So if u have a hundred chinese people and u tell them to stay indoors , what's the probability of all complying?

Coronavirus has no non cure at the moment so the best any government can do now is try to prevent the spread.
Isolation for upto 14 days is ideal as the incubation period is about that number of days too
