They are putting pressure on the naira by coming to buy goods imported with Nigerian dollars. That is why the naira is always under pressure. Even if the border is opened, We cannot keep subsidising west Africa. |

Since the border closure how many Nigerians have been employed?Has it reduced the level of poverty or insecurity?Has Nigerian economy improved?Talking about Ghana,Nigeria's decision to shut her border on Ghana has huge impact because Nigeria has population advantage and also resource advantage but Ghana has huge market in Nigeria for sales of her products and services due to Nigerian numerical advantage though it is a symbiotic relationship not parasitic. |

majamajic:Since border has been closed...what changed? Any visible improvement. Simple economics is not hard. Positive results isn't praising yourself on media. If there is anything the border closure has achieved please point it out? |

Only fools would celebrate this kind of new. There are thousands of Nigerian cross-border traders and businessmen who are suffering because of the border closure. There are more Nigerian traders in Ghana, than Ghanaian traders in Nigeria. Common sense should tell us that the closure of the border would affect Nigerian more. But common sense is not common! |

helinues:Do I look like someone to dent my ideology in defense of a zoological garden. There is nothing to jubilate or smile out in Nigeria. You guys should stop fabricating media stories to massage your ego that is already down.. Ghana is doing fine and ahead if Nigeria even their educational system is well sound and standardized. Nigeria has nothing to offer. |
