I must say i have huge respect for Akwa Iboms past and present Governors, they are strategical about diversifying from oil

They built world class Stadiums and backed it with 5 star hotels and several golf resot and to crown it the started their own Airline Routing Lagos and Abuja.. this is tourism master peice

if you cant read atleast stop embarrasing Buhari like onochie does..

its a state government project, Buhari's administration through this post only commended Akwa Ibom for meeting international standard, buhari has zero kobo in it and when Obasanjo aproved it buhari was somewhere in ANPP making noise

.

You trying hard to make a point. Obasanjo approved it and how many years later it sprung up.

Try to give kudos to whom it is due.

Let me help you get some education, if you want to build a house, you buy a plot of land and head to ministry of land to get a Certificate of Ocupancy, and get your building plan aproved.. so after building you own house with bank loan do you go back to the state governor that aprove it to thank them or which kudos exactly are you given to Buhari

This is why Vissionary Politician like Tinubu, Ameachi, Akpabio, Udom, Ganduje, Kwankwaso and Fashola can never ever do any wrong in my eyes

U wrote well but ur stupid tribal mentality destroyed ur whole write up. Listen the igbos are industrialists they move far and wide not just Nigeria. No smart biz man will just sit in his corridor and do biz, u explore far and wide.

Since u know ameachi very well, let me ask u ... What did he achieved as governor for 8yrs and speaker of the house for 4yrs.

Do u know how much akwaibom worth as a state, I guess u don't that is why u could see akpabio as god and do no wrong.

Thankfully, the akwa indigenes in the real world are not stupid.
They know where their bread is buttered.

They know those that want their progress and those that don't.
They know those that fought for resource control and relocation of oil companies to the delta and those that call them illiterate militants.
They know those they share geographical border with and who would actually make their port work.

That is why they gave Peter obi more votes than any south east state.

heen heen, i dont know that Ndi land grabers now means Ibo anyways straight to the point

Ameachi has wowed us with Rail Revolution, sourcing finance outside government and oil and building rail, ameachi started portharcourt lightrail, he was responsible for peace in rivers, and he promoted tourism through carnivals, his tenure witness the completion of over 900km of roads accross town, also tried building a new urban city built couldnt finish

as for his tenure as a speaker, he was responsible for smooth running of Odili administration

As for Akwa Ibom earnings through 13% derivative, bayelsa and delta also earns more and are not doing anything impressive

Doesn't Ibom power plant count? If the FG should expidate concession of Ebughu Fishing terminal. Another option is letting the state have it. The governor wants a fish processing plant there. ALSCON coming back online would be a major boast.

I think Ibom power plant is forced to shed light to National power grid (am not sure tho) but the Industrial estate and the port should seek their own offgrid alternatives

Its obvious u know nothing about rivers, I was born in rivers, grew up in delta, schooled in RSUST.

Pls and pls and pls, focus on ur area. SS governors are doing nothing and we will continue to say it, we will continue to ask for more.

Right here in SS we don't worship people because they give us a plate of rice when we know we deserve a farm of rice.

Keep on doing ur comparison over where u are..... because delta is blind doesn't mean akwaibom should be happy with one eye .... Hope u get that.....

God bless you. Those governors are doing nathing!
I visited Akwa Ibom last year December and I almost cried.
The level of unemployment and poverty is heartbreaking.
Yet the state receives almost the highest subvention from the FG.
Akpabio tried in the area of Infrastructure and selling the state's image for investors to come in, but the current mentally-lazy governor has practically taken the state back to 1999. The only thing he is good at is dishing out motivational words. Daakada, Only God etc.

They already have a 154MW Ibom power plant, problem now is that you must supply to national gird first

They are working on getting rights to transmit and distribute. Akwa Ibom need just 68MW for 24 hrs power supply

are you serious ? Wow government should give them the rights and watch how other states follow suit .. it will make state governors sit up and not think salary payment is an achievement

The FEC should approve the project expediently. I would also like Amaechi to plan a north south rail for this project. It would reduce the amount truck that will inevitably come into Akwa Ibom. Then the FG could make money on freight shipping.

The schools in Akwa Ibom should be offering skills training if they arent already. The state has it's own university and polytechnics. Even the highshools could prep graduates on it.

Thanks a lot. Anything about Akwa Ibom gives me joy due to a relationship I have with the people(especially my friend and big brother) there. I believe you are from there. I do visit Uyo once a while and I was there May last year.

Akwa Ibom has the best road Network in Nigeria and they are standard and clean... as in, forking clean. What I feel the state needs is huge industrialization and I feel this seaport will play a HUGE roll there.

Aside Lagos, Akwa Ibom is a place I do not mind building a house and living.

I am very happy about this project and it is my hope, wish and prayers that it is completed in earnest.

Smart GUYS should go around that seaport and acquire lands... even if it is 5Million per plot, You will not regret it!

It is simply HOME TRAINING. Akwa Ibomite are well raised from home. They are the cleanest in Nigeria and well disciplined. Go to Akwa Ibom and you will not see the kind of dirts you find in other states. It is simply home training. A lot of parents have failed this country. I lived among them during my school days and their ideas about personal hygiene is second to none.

Blue3k should know this because I once read he is from the state...

Akwa Ibom AYAYA!
