Very true. But i need to get to their office on monday to enquire more. They were everywhere today. I purposely parked and asked them what does uber driver need to have apart frm the lasdri ? They said hackney permit for car hire is a must and one other car operator card that i dnt understand yet. Though, they asked me to visit their Awolowo road office( old secretariat) for more details on monday

Bro, that one na scam joor. Uber /bolt cars are not branded. So if they stop a corolla, what right do they have to ask for those docs.? Are our cars using red number plate?

I dey wait for who will stop me to try such nonsense with me.

As long as the name on your driver's license is different from the name on the vehicle particulars, VIO MUST demand for your LASDRI card

This has been going on for years before Uber came on board. Victims were mostly company drivers. Now wey corolla Don full everywhere,........... lipsrsealed

As for hackney permit, it's usually for only red plated vehicles. But if the government changes t to blue nko? Wetin man go do?

If Uber drivers foolishly start going to make enquiries about hackney permit and any useless drivers card, you are putting other drivers at risk! This is Lagos! Every vampire is looking for whom to cash out on.

As they have banned keke and Okada, Local government touts will now be hungry. NURTW will want you to fall under them.

Stop being stuppid and desperately foolish at the same time. THIS IS YOUR PERSONAL CAR YOU ARE PARTNERING WITH A COMPANY THAT PAYS TAXES! MOST OF YOU HAVE YOUR TIN YOU ALREADY SIGNED UP WITH. MOST OF US PAY TAXES ALREADY. YOU ARE NOT A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE. UBER WAS MADE AS A RIDE SHARING PLATFORM NOT AS A TRANSPORT FIRM. ITS IN NIGERIA THAT THEY REDEFINED IT AND STARTED HIRING DRIVERS!

Once they notice that some drivers are getting it, one fat Alausa basstard will see it as an opportunity to cash out!

They will now send touts to be stopping cars.

Drivers please try and get sense!!

Immediately you notice anybody trying to stop you, quickly put your car on central lock, park, end trip (Take note of amount when you ended it, delete all apps and then tell your rider to say she is your sister or that you are her personal driver!! Let me see how the animal will proove you are a driver.

You morrons talking about visiting there office should not start a nonsense that wont stop.

Because if you do, one imbeccile will go and manufacture a card and call it "UBER PERMIT CARD". Every year, you will be made to renew them just as you renew your road worthiness, Vehicle licence and Insurance.

STOP BEING STUPPID YOU DUMB FUCCKS. How many cars will they park?

If they park you and ask if you are an Uber driver... Simple answer; CAPITAL NO. NO LONG TALK.

CASE CLOSED!

Atimes, I wish I was the only one on this earth. So many weaklings that needs to be eliminated are cropping up. No real men anymore. Pusssy ass Jon Moes.

What da hell!
Frustrated man. Must u comment?
The way u are going about this ur bitter life, u will still end up commiting suicide. U are so evil, so bitter. Nothing good and meaningful has ever came out of ur mouth.
Im making an enquiries for myself not for u. How does it affect ur living?

N3500 and VIO might ticket 25k or more.
If getting hackney for N3500 will save one from embarrassment and delay. Then, why not just get and move on.

Sometimes I wonder why we shoot our self in the foot.
You drive a private car with a blue plate number you want to go and register for harkey permit.

Because you are scared of VIO.
Is there any law currently that's states a private car needs a harkey permit

So if I drives my friends car and I am been stopped by VIO, are you telling me I need a harkey permit.

If i drive a corolla and I carry person for back does that mean I am an uber driver?

Make una at least use sense deal with this stuff
I have been stopped by VIO once I was with a rider they checked my papers and my license and they asked are you uber, I replied politely NO and ask any problem sir, the officer said No problem sir and gave me my papers and I left.

The rider later asked why I denied been an uber driver I told her that they want to extort from us but don't know how to go about it.

Same thing happen at the international airport I was at the parking lot and a request came I called rider that I will be coming not as a uber driver but as if we know each other b4.

Immediately he sighted my car he waved I came down and we shake hands put his luggage in d trunk and I left
Those airport mofos were confused

In conclusion if VIO stop you don't be scared unless your papers are not complete there is no evidence to prove you are an uber driver that alone is what you have over them.
But if u let them overshadow you that means you are a JJC in Lagos.

Pls my fellow drivers don't go doing any harkey permit unless the law is changed to do so

Even if it is changed uber is designed for car owners but u know we Nigerians always over do.

So if you drive your own car with your name on the car documents and on your license VIO can't do no S**t.

In addition if you are a pro driver and knows 70% of Lagos pls don't hang your phones.

Get an ear pod always use the right ear, if you can get an ear pod buy an ordinary ear phone but make sure you are always on the right ear leave the left ear so u won't be labeled an uber driver

Why am not overly worried about this hopeless issue is that from childhood, MY FATHER HAS ALWAYS TAUGHT ME THAT THERE WILL ALWAYS BE NATURAL OCCURING IMBECCILES. They are imbecciles by nature and as such, very useless. They are like mineral resources and whether you like it or not, they must exist.. The least you can always do is to extract them like the mineral resources they are, use them and discard them in the dustbin.

Just for anybody that wants to learn;

LASDRI CARD
The LASDRI CARD LASDRI is a card issued by the Lagos state drivers institute strictly for commercial vehicle drivers, pick-up owners and company vehicles’ drivers.

So Unless you are a complete morron, you have no business with this card as an Uber driver. You are neither a commercial vehicle driver, tanker driver, pickup driver, lorry driver or company driver. You are a vehicle owner sharing your destination with other riders headed in the same destination. So you share the fuel money! Thats the original plan of ehailing. Ride sharing! Even if you want, let the name on drivers licence be different from particulars, its very useless to me. I can claim am using my friends car to head to my office... So I picked a rider headed the same way. How you present your arguement to them is up to you.

HACKNEY PERMIT

The hackney permit is simply a licence for vehicles below a certain weight category to carry goods within a state. Please pay attention to CARRY GOODS. This documents should be issued to you at the point of registering your vehicle and does not require any form of inspection whatsoever.

So unless YOU ARE A TOTAL IDDIOT or you know your car is a Kabu Kabu, Tanker or J5, I wonder what an uber driver is doing with a hackney permit. Anyways I don't blame some of you. Most of your cars are already looking like Trailers and Hausa Gwongworo (911) meant for carrying Nama and Goat.

This explains why some riders will want to put freezer in my car. undecided undecided undecided

Some of you that answer tough names on this forum but are just asss wipes in real life, your real LIFE names should either be DOKPEMU, IDIMU OR IGANDO with the shapes of your head below.

Technically ride sharing is commercial driving (driving to make money)

You just want to create another wahala for guys with this overzealousness. You're driving a private car with no red plate number, you are a private car owner and you already pay tax with uber for using that car for commercial purposes.

Whether the hackney peemit is 3500 or 1 naira, saying "let's just pay it and forget it" is why we keep rewarding corruption

Do you know how many cars they will collect such illegal fees from if we all think "it is just 3500"?

Let's stop being docile and rewarding corruption because we dont want trouble.
