LagosismyHome:Thank you for your response. I'm just concerned about the validity of my current visa which is less than 2 years |

Hunnybee: *she not he. You clearly lack observation skills, like “she” did. The news said it was reducing the training years from 6 to 3, so I assumed it meant the training years meant for university students. Hence the panic of being unqualified. You probably a paramedic or nurse and thought I was calling you unqualified- but don’t be too offended, I hadn’t read the full news. Kinji Ko? |

Teepp10: Yes. It’s perfectly logical. She will most likely get it if she didn’t use up her entire 6 months with no break. I remember one time at the airport, the border people complained that an old woman (clearly Nigerian), spent her entire 6 months here, went back for like a month and then returned with another visa. The border agent was acting like he wanted to send her back, wondering how she got the visa. I thought the border people were being cruel but I understood where they were coming (apparently, they weren’t convinced that she was visiting since she stayed the full 6 months). Maybe it’s just over-do that was worrying them sha. |

Hi She, I’m sorry i do not know you’re a she without having had any contact with you or a clue pointing you are a she. That doesn’t mean i lack observation skills. But like you said, I wouldn’t have had to type that if you had read the full news- apology accepted Se etigbo? Aphrodite007: |

Teepp10: I am not a Visa officer but personally I think it's fine, there no correlation between your length of Visa and your mother visiting Visa... UK is a main tourist hub so with or without a child she might continue to visit even if her child doesn't live here Having a child here was not mandatory for her Visa to be issued, it's more like a nice to have |

LagosismyHome: I believe so too, but I just reiterated what I heard. Whether they were bullying her or stating fact, I don’t know. Regardless, 6 months to 2 years is very ok. I’m gonna do the same with my folks. |

Hi all, I’m new to this forum. My passport expires at the end of May and I have plans to got to Nigeria from 13th to 19th of May. Do I have to renew my passport before travelling or I have to wait till it expires to renew it ? |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by deept(m): 7:16am On Feb 03, 2020 |
Teepp10: I did same for my mum, visit visa would have gone beyond expiry of my temp visa, had months left. She planned to stay a few weeks but was refused; one of the reasons given my visa was running out and there was no guarantee for renewal. This was last year. Woman that travels every year. Best add enough evidence of strong ties to home. I think sometimes depends on the case handler and what side of the bed he or she wakes up on. 2 Likes |

[quote author=Hunnybee post=86293285]Wait, how does going for 3years course/training make them under qualified? Have you seen the course outline and training schedule already? How did you arrive at ‘under qualified’ so fast? Interesting stuff |

your Inputs needed please! I'm a sponsored postgraduate student currently in the UK with my spouse and a child. My mum just retired and i want her to visit us here to chill a little and also serve as a treat for work well done. I intend to sponsor the trip, meaning the fund for the trip is in my account and she's got about 100k in her personal account. Now my question; 1. is it okay for a student to sponsor such trip? 2. should my spouse who is on a dependent visa sponsor the trip. 3. or should she (my mum) sponsor the trip although the funds will be moved from my account to hers awaiting your response. many thanks |

kaad: The main questions to ask yourself are? - Do I have a job? - Does my wife have a job? - Would our joint income, adequately cater for baby, father, mother, MIL, bills etc, without looking like financial suicide? - The £200 in your mother's account is crayfish money and cannot play any part in the application, not unless you meant £100K........ - You want to feed her account with funds, like trying to force feed a little baby? (automatic visa refusal). - Do you have a rental agreement or mortgage deed(on an accommodation that would not present like overcrowding)? - At the moment are you chopping overdraft or account in minus, on a regular? - You got 6 months bank statements, to track and justify your thick chest? Questions like this, determines a successful application or failed application......... 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Lexusgs430:Thanks @lexusgs430; 1. we both work part time. Although sponsor takes care of all bills 2. yes our Joint income can take care of everyone and everything 3. well since i might be sponsoring i thought her account balance dose not really count 4. we have a rental agreement of a 2 bedroom apartment. i don't think having 3 adults and a child in such will be termed overcrowding. please correct me if i'm wrong. 5. No, no overdraft of any sort. 6. i thought 3 months bank statement will suffice. well we can wait until 6 month if every other thing above adds up. Do you think this adds up? |

Monmarri: Yes, without following the normal process it is possible to migrate to Canada, from the UK. Without following the normal process, the migrant will see Canada, breathe Canadian air. That’s all. The migrant will be on the next available Plane back to base. |
